U.S. so far has the most medals...a gold, two silver, and a bronze.

Followed by Australia and Russia, both with 3 medals each.

Meh, this is the first Olympics I'm following, and the U.S. is better than I thought in comparison with other nations. Of course, this IS the first day. But still...

Last I watched this evening, on SVT Sports, China had the most medals? But it's the first day, yes. I hope Sweden will win some medals the coming days =)

China has for the moment. but you have to consider: medals pro capita wich means that countries like The Netherlands aso. are far better the either China or the US :cool:

BTW the US&China have a very bad doping reputation since they protect there doped athletes in a way that is not possible in more undoped nations.For me, Carl Lewis should give back all his medalls.

Yes, right now China does have the most medals. According to the medal league on svt.se/os they have got 4 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Then Australia, Italy, Japan and USA in 5th place right now.

Come on Sweden!!! Time for us to get some medals!!

I'm excited about this year's Olympics just for the fact that there are a bunch of contenders from my area. (the Washington/Baltimore area)
