William Donald Schaefer has 48 years of public service including as mayor and councilman of Baltimore and governor of Maryland. A native of the state, Schaefer was born in Baltimore in 1921 and is currently the comptroller of Maryland. He served in the military during World War II and is a lawyer by training.

Md. Official Says Aliens Draining Health System
6:45 am PST, 12 August 2004

Maryland Comptroller William Donald Schaefer said Wednesday illegal aliens were draining health system resources, in what because his second criticism recently about immigration.


Schaefer made his comments during a Board of Public Works meeting in Annapolis, when he asked state health Secretary Nelson J. Sabatini how much the state spends on health care for illegal immigrants.

When told the figure was about $40 million, Schaefer replied, "Our own people, that is legitimate Americans, cannot get health care."

He added it would be a "tragedy" if the nation became bilingual, speaking English and Spanish.

Schaefer said he supports legal immigration but complained that some people who are not citizens do not have "green cards" ? which permit permanent residency ? and will not ask for one, The Washington Times reported.

The 82-year-old former governor was criticized for his comments by local Hispanic politicians and activists.

But Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr., a Republican, came to Schaefer's defense.

Ehrlich has dismissed multiculturalism as "bunk" and "crap," and says immigrants should assimilate into U.S. culture.

The Alien Invasion will begin in 2012, the Government has already surrendered and is working with the aliens to create a hybrid alien/human to serve the aliens, since only these hybrids can survive the Holocaust that is to come.

I support brutally killing all the illegals along with murders, rapists, and and child molesters. I hate multiculturalism, one of the ONLY things I hate about America is how much the white race is discriminated against. I have no problem with legal immigration as long as they learn fluent english and don't try to shove the BS culture down my throat. This is why I support annexing Mexico and Canada.

You do realize if we annexed Mexico and Canada, tens of millions of non-whites would become US citizens overnight and they'd be able to move about the entire US "Empire" at their leisure. (There are millions of non-white immigrants in Canada) and Mexico has over 80 million people.

Thoughts going through my mind as I read this, sentence by sentence.

[1] Meh. The death penalty is already in place. Anything more brutal is inefficient. I'd rather forcibly castrate rapists and molesters, anyhow. Preferrably cauterizing it with a hot object, too, if I were feeling like doing a Capital Punishment Torture suggestion. But that's too cruel, anyhow.
[2] White race discriminated against? Maybe. We don't get to make racist jokes while everyone else can, but that's about it. And sometimes we get refused to college for an equal or slightly less deserving person of a different race. Not much discrimination.
[3] To each his own- some people don't like other cultures. I agree with the English comment, if only out of pragmatism- translators are too complicated.
[4] ...Bwuh? Annexing... Canada... and Mexico? Where in the nonexistant God did that come from? Why? Wouldn't taht just make your anti-multiculturalism problem worse? Unless you're advocating the extermination of all Mexicans and Canadians, of course.

Just thought you should know how scary that is. I am no illegal alien; I am a U.S. citizen, but "brutally killing" illegals along with rapists is more than just a little extreme. I should add that i oppose the death penalty in all forms and believe that legal immigration should be more readily available as an option for those who are willing to be productive members of society, cultural preference be damned. People in some God-forsaken region of New Mexico are hardly hurting me by speaking Spanish, and if people in San Francisco want to speak Chinese, it isn't hurting me a bit. Multiculturalism is hardly a stain on the U.S.

Also, annexing Mexico and Canada is simply madness. Aside from the fact that the entire world would oppose it and may even go to war with us over it, it's insane. What's the use? U.S. imperialism and the "white race" be damned, because rest assured it isn't being discriminated against any more than it is discriminated in favor. Whites have the money, and money talks in the U.S. far more than skin color. White and black matters to some extent, but green matters far more, and it just so happens whites have more of it. That's just how history falls. Personally I don't give a damn about my "race", since I didn't pick it. I didn't pick my country of birth, but I can sure as hell pick a country to identify with. I just happened to choose my own, at least for now. Racial divisions and birthrights don't mean jack; it's choices that are all-important, and identifying as "white" at the expense of all other races (and I have yet to meet anyone who is actually pro-white without being anti-nonwhite for real) is completely bogus. People need to mind their own business and actually deal with things that hurt them.

Every single US invasion of Canada was a failure, and when the Canadians came down here (with the British) they laid waste to our capitol. They were simply to nice to invade the entire US, even if they could it's an awful lot of trouble that they didn't need. But the fact stands, the Canadians have beaten us in two wars, and they weren't even our main opponents.

Look this country has no, none, zip true culture of its own. It is a combination of a melting pot. Why because the we do not really speak english, we speak a form of english. Trust me after talking to someone from England... American English is nothing close to British English. But we are Multi Cultural in our very fiber. The Native population, the first settlers, the next group and so on. That is what makes this a great place. Is everyone that comes here adds to it.

This is not a "white country" nor is it a "christian" Country... sorry my grampa's folks were here way before any of those light skin bible thumpers got here.. lol Spainish influence, French influence, African, Dutch, etc.... etc... it has been here since this country started... it didnt just all of a sudden spring up.

It is just now we are not forceing anyone to try to conform by saying ok you can no longer speak your language or practice your customs. Which to me is a good thing. My family knows the horrors of what happens when the government tries to force people to conform and blend in and lose thier self. it aint pretty. :(

I do agree that all legal forms should be in English, that you should have to learn the language if you want to immigrate, to get aide, etc. Most ESL class I have seen are free.. But at the same time it has to be done in a diplomatic way not in a way of... ok your here now you can never use your langage again. also it has to be made availible to them when they can use it... I know in my area.. there are alot of farm workers... they leave at sun up come home sun down... not alot of time in between especially when you have a family.
