Quotes within quotes...brutally chopped! :)

Anyone noticed how the "new" forum automatically chops quotes within quotes - presumably to prevent the building of quote pyramids...
...anyway, I was wondering - anyone else found that when you reply to someone and their quotes get chopped from your quote, it completely screws up your context? It looks like your responding only to their comment, and you lose the context of the original comment.
Am I the only one who has notied this? Am I crazy? ;)

Nope: but when you see finely tooled hand-crafted inter-leaved and inter-stacked quotes, then you know that the person on the other end is either (a) paying attention to both what you and they are saying, or, (b) they are an anal-retentive asshole. One of the two.

There is no conceivable reason that comes to my mind that would justify the destruction of quotes within quotes.

I agree. It can make it very hard to follow a conversation...
