I took this a while ago, and don't recall my exact results. It did however label me as a Secular Humanist, which I guess I agree with. What did surprise me somewhat was how vehemently opposed it put me to JEhovah's Witnesses and the Roman Catholic faith, both scoring somewhere around 5-10%.

1. Unitarian Universalism (100%) The mixed bag religion. Accurate considering that I call myself a religious scavenger.
2. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (86%) I was partially raised as a Lutheran, although it never quite took and I never really paid any attention. I was usually too bored to listen. Although I did find a few ways around some of the teaching that I did pay attention to.
3. Mahayana Buddhism (84%) Buddhism is a really great religion, I like it a lot

13. Secular Humanism (60%)
14. Taoism (60%) I might have put this a tad higher

I would also throw Satanism somewhere into the fray but they don‘t have it listed. I’d put it somewhere around 50%. Another religion that I’ve been wanting to do research on is Shinto. I’d do that right now if my connection wasn’t so horrible. Damn this wireless network.

Isn't Satanism a religion that isn't entirely on an evil-side? I mean, I remeber reading something about it, and the belief of god and whatnot.

Oh yeah, and that Secular Humanism stuff sounds pretty good to me...

The nine Satanin Statements

1. Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence!

2. Satan represents vital existence instead of spiritual pipe dreams!

3. Satan represents undefiled wisdom instead of hypocritical self-deceit!

4. Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it instead of love wasted on ingrates!

5. Satan represents vengeance instead of turning the other cheek!

6. Satan represents responsibility to the responsible instead of concern for psychic vampires!

7. Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his “divine spiritual and intellectual development,” has become the most vicious animal of all!

8. Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!

9. Satan has been the best friend the Church has ever had, as He has kept it in business all these years!

But I like The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth most

1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.

2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.

3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.

4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.

5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.

6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.

7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.

8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.

9. Do not harm little children.

10. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.

11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.

The top one doesn't surprise me... Since I am a Buddhist (believe ir ot not a white Canuck)... ^_^ except I'm a follower of Zen and not Theravada. I also fit it fitting that the religion I was baptised is at the bottom of the list, since I disagree with it.

Also interesting, it got the same percentage as Eastern Orthodox; both religions are what my family follows; I'm the non-conformer.

It is always funny when the religion you were raised in and is practiced at the school you attend is at the bottom.
Though none of these fit. I believe in a religion/philosophy of my own creation. It's actually a philosophy plus a mythology, but arn't all religions that? ;)
If anyone is interesed to know, my religion is basically paganism with some of the 9 Satanic statements and some mythology thrown in.

Actually most of those sound pretty good in an idealogic standpoint...sort of an eye-for-an-eye theory thrown in there, too. Though the whole magic thing just lost me...

Well, if magic's worked for you, it says believe it. If not, there's no need. It's basically on the side of science- if you've never seen it work, there's no reason to believe it. Or such is my understanding.

Anyway, here's my reading:

Interesting. This "Orthodox Quaker" result has happened twice for me, even though that's not what I am. In real life, I consider myself a liberal protestant, a Methodist. I didn't feel the test quite gave me the opportunity to express exactly what I believe. (I took it another time and that time, "liberal" came up as the #2 choice, though.)
