Yeah I'm bored.
For me this has to go to the WartHog in HALO.
Thats the coolest vehicle I've seen in any game.

I like the Warthog also. Sadly, it gets a bit worse in Halo 2- Destructible is cool, and better physics is cool, but now we won't jounce around like MC is a giggling moron at the wheel (it'll actually drive like a car and not do death defying stunts because you accidentally turned left instead of right and went over a hill half-sidewise) or be able to launch it over things with grenade piles (at least, in one piece).

The 4x4 in Farcry is pretty good.

The plane from Sonic...The old sonic, not the new one.

And...um...a really cool looking gummi ship from Kingdom Hearts, if any ship can be that good. I actually did manage to make one that isn't completely lame...

Well, it won't be completely tame- I saw a video, and the Warthog is still airborne at the slightest notice and it still spins out and flips and such- it's just more stable. I bet bumper cars will still work unless you fall out of the vehicle upside down in Halo 2.

I love getting a 1 v 1 match in warthogs- charge eachother and try to ram the opponent, flip them out of the vehicle, and run them over. Against players who automatically as a reaction flip the vehicle and climb in, it can get challenging.

Still sucks how you can blow it up.
I love how you can head on each other.

Theres nothing quite like the warthog. It's awsome!

If you ask me, I think that the Warthog is just the first vehicle that comes to most peoples mind. but when I choose a vehicle I like to choose one with good speed, physics, looks, and of course...firearms. I think the Dunebuggy that I saw in a Half-Life 2 preview looks pretty cool. I'll just have to wait for the game to come out before I make any final decisions.

nahh, Multibeam Frigates from the original Homeworld, the things made by the Khadesh, those frigates RAPE THINGS, i had 6 an took out and Empress Class Carrier in maybe 10 seconds at most. (this only means something if you have played through homeworld

I remember those. The designers were nuts when they put in something with 4 (!!!) Turreted (!!) Ion Beams (!). So, I did what any respectable opponent would do, and salvaged them.

I remember a mission near the end of Homeworld, where there was a huge sphere of ion frigates. I think I salvaged about 60 of them before I got bored. Needless to say, I had a stupidly large fleet for the last couple of missions.

How about the jumping tank from Metal Slug, or the Goliath tank from Battle Tanks or maybe the demolition trucks on C&C Generals that can take on the appearance of any other vehicle?

If nothing else there is always Yoshi.

I think the Metal Gear (most specifically the Marine version in MGS2) is the leet master of pwnage when it comes to game vehicles. How are you going to beat nuclear missiles (yes, that's plural) as weapons?

The littlebird helo from DC with the 30mm miniguns (not the smaller .50 cal chaingun / 19mm rockets).
It's like a flying go-kart, and it can still kill tanks!

The warthog probably is the best. The scorpion would be cooler if it had little booster jets like the starfox tanks... Wait! The Kingtiger from MOHAA!

yeah i had like ~8 of them, lost them all in the nebul mission taking out that carrier, they were destroyed in the atmosphere chasing the carrier while my heavy cruisers and ion cannons whiped out the base

cataclysm has its own multi-beam frgates, they are weaker but can take multiple targets, the scourge of fighter and corvette classes

Metal Gear is so cool, the design looks so sooth and perfect, the warthog is also one of the coolest things in the world.

And of course the starbridge from Escape Velocity Nova (wich you propably havent heard of).

Nope. In the Zanzibar Demo, one of the designers shot out the hubcaps from it with the battle rifle, and then Rocket Launchered it to death. Takes about two, but the rocket does less than normal area damage compared to Halo 1, so it's not known exactly how much damage.

I think it will actually be slightly more.

But the orginal warthog could kill anything.

Yeah, the warthog also had the ability to turn average cool-headed players into full blown psychopaths with an insatiable appetite for destruction, death and chaos... At least it does that to the drivers and gunners. The people in the passenger seat, however...

Come to think of it, the Bone Wagon from Grim Fandango was way cooler than anything suggested so far.

I hate it when I'm driving and the passenger deliberately throws a grenade on the warthog, and then everyone bails out and the warthog blows up and lands on one of us.

Hmm... it's kinda like Russian roulette when you think about it...

In Halo I was much better at driving the ghosts and banshees, nevermind the fact that I usually just sniped and pitched plasma nades acros the map at vehicles.

The Vespa scooter in Driver 3 was funny as hell for its ridiculous ability to outturn everything, but the police rammed you like a normal car so you ended up getting hurt pretty badly....

UT04's vehicles were too unarmored for my tastes, the tank was killed with only a few grenades and thats sad :(.

Everything in the game Einhander was made of solidified awesomeness.

The Ragnarok in FF8 was a pimpin cool space shuttle.

CnC Renegade had a lot of great vehicles, although the Nod light tank stands out in my mind because it was fast and had a decent gun. The apache(and orca to a lesser degree) stand out in the mind of anyone thats played that game, unmatched in fun both fighting in them, and shooting them from the shadows with an anti-armor rifle.

The Warthog is also fun because if you're even moderately good and the opponent doesn't do a slide, you can cause yourself for a little while to be relatively still with the vehicle and/or dodge it.

When compared to the vehicle, you are standing still, it becomes very, very easy to Pnade it.

And it's also amusing as you dodge the car to melee it as you go by. Maybe in Halo 2 you can actually break the car or hit the person by Melee alone. (I learned Melee doesn't work on vehicles when I went for the most unorthodox kill ever and jumped onto the hull of the Scorpion. I got run over by the cannon as it swung around, too.)

That is the only thing I do on Halo. I try to get people on xbconnect to do it, but nobody wants to.

My friend got in the warthog, and was about to drive away when I was running from someone else, and ran into the supposedly blocked teleporter in desparation.

I teleported into the passenger seat of the Warthog just before it left, and someone else was driving.

In a free-for-all game.

I then somehow died instantly and fell out of the car.

Later, we were able to reproduce it a couple more times by parking the Warhog on the teleporter slightly off.
