Apparently it's already claimed people in Cuba.
It did, but it wasn't as strong, there. Fortunatly, most of those in the area have been evacuated.

The National Weather Service has a list of names they use once every six years, I think. The bad hurricanes, like Camile, Hugo, and Andrew, are taken off the list, and replaced. I'm guessing that Charley will be replaced, too.
