Its a television show, so I'd get a TV-14 rating.

Good point...but it's pretty slimey...
Good point...but it's pretty slimey...
The point here is that it's not the slime itself. It's what you show with the slime or what's done with the slime. Showing a penis can be okay, but when you show a penis with other stuff or a penis doing something, then it becomes morally deprivating. I haven't seen Nickelodeons Slime Time Live so I don't know what disgusting horrors are shown there.

My favourite warning at the moment is
"may contain scenes of mild peril"

How come AVP is a PG-13? I'm guessing thats equvilant to 12A over here. The last two were both 18's i think.

I think "slime" (in the context of "slime and gore") might specifically mean bodily fluids. Blood and drool, blood and drool mixing whilst Aliens eat people... that kind of thing.

1 hr. 27 min.
Plot line so thin, they couldn't fill more than that.
I love the Alien movies, but I think this one's just gonna be silly.

Maybe they shouldn't have bothered, either now or ten years ago. Franchise films, for the most part, don't just suck- they blow. How many sequel films are better than their predecessors?

avp isnt a sequel, and they've been making stuff based around this for 10 years, they need to make the movie, might go watch it later

Titanic II
I have inside information. The movie ends with Arnold Schwartzenegger and Sigourney Weaver teaming up to kill both the predators and the aliens. Then Weaver beats Schwartzenegger to death with her big erect schlong.

Well, 'Aliens' made for a good war movie, but 'Terminator 2'? It was practically the same film as the original 'Terminator', albeit with slightly better optics. Besides which, the 'Terminator' franchise was an acknowledged ripoff of Harlan Ellison's novella/TV screenplay for the original 'Outer Limits' episode, 'Soldier' (having nothing to do with the comparatively recent stinky movie of the same name, starring whatshisname, Goldie Hawn's husband).
Michael Ansara as 'Qarlo Clobregny, RM/DM/DO' kicks Ahnuld's ass as the 'T-1000'.

Their actually warning the audience about slime? What are we - tender little veal medallions that faint dead away at the sight of liberally used K-Y jelly?
I liked 'Aliens'. Thought it was the best of the series.
I bet AVP's gonna be shitty, but I've played to many hours of Alien Versus Predator 2 to miss the movie.

Yeah, ditto to that. Aliens was damn cool. "They mostly come at night...mostly."
I didn't know you played AVP2 Hallad. Up for a game sometime?
The entire rating system is messed up. Ever see the movie the Omega Man. It’s rated PG and yet it has nudity, violence, blood, and virtually the entire human population gets wiped out. Now they give PG-13 for slime. WTF
I havn't seen the alien movies, and I might be missing something buit I'll go just to see who wins. The Humans say they'll have to pick a side. I kinda hope it's the predator.
I went to see it opening night.
I'm sorry to say it is very disapointing.
Still a good movie but very disapointing.
