Most people argue against profiling. Maybe it is time to rethink that idea.

What? Because one Muslim aided terrorists and got caught? Nice try to justify blatant racism.

Did I really? Read the post closely before making assumptions.

Or, obviously, men. All men are more likely to be potential terrorists as a majority of terrorists are men, so all men should be under heavy suspicion.

And I read the post carefully. You suggested profiling on the basis of the actions of one Muslim. Profiling is bad.

Did I? Or did I say that MAYBE it is time to look at it again? Thats a far cry from saying we SHOULD start profiling I believe.

Especially white men. Look at Hitler. When asked who the most evil man of all time is, a lot of people will say it was Hitler.

Any Germans in this country should immediatly be sent to Guantanamo Bay as a precaution. There we can question them on their relationship to Hitler.

Yes, well, nice linguistic bait and switch. However, allow me to fimly answer your wishy-washy maybe with a firm HELL NO.

Wishy washy? What part of "maybe" do you not understand? It is a simple sentance.

If enough of these incidents happen, profiling will start. Even some of my family members, who are Iranian, think we are crazy not to watch the muslims here closely. They lived under a fanatical regime and they KNOW what these people are capable of. Even when I asked them that by doing so they would be subject to more scrutiny, they said it would be well worth it. Go figure...

So, you're saying that most muslim fundamentalist terrorists and their supporters are going to be found in the muslim community, eh? You are a genius. I wish we'd had that sort of profiling in the UK in the 1980s... nobody realised it at the time, but practically every member of the IRA was of Irish origin -- and a lot of them turned out to have been brought up Catholic, too.

I have a very good friend who is also Iranian. He lived under the Shah, and then under the ayatollahs, before emigrating to the U.S. We have had many long conversations about this topic, and he shares the opinion of your family members.

Also, to all those saying that this is just the actions of one man: Have you entirely forgotten the recent past? How many arrests, in how many different countries (including the U.S.), have been made in recent weeks?

Care to do a percentage breakdown? Say number of Muslims in the world compared to the number of people arrested over the past several weeks? Again, by this kind of logic all men should be profiled so, no, I haven't forgotten arrests made in the recent past. I also haven't forgotten that profiling of any sort is bad and fundamentally against everything this country stands for.

Only those white people that the government pushes over the edge by atrocities such as Ruby Ridge and Waco.

Wow, everybody in a catholic terror group based in Ireland was Irish and Catholic... You don't say. :D

Racism? If you think it's a good idea, imagine you were the one being profiled.
