the olympics are starting soon
will you watch the coverage?
do you care?
is it important to you that your country do well?
what sports are the most important to YOU that your country participates in?
i find the emphasis on country medal totals to be annoying. i like to see our athletes do their best in a fair competition. i can enjoy seeing a great competitor from another country win even if it beats out one of our best athletes.

i will probably watch part of the coverage, but i am indifferent really
i dont really know how we usually do, but it was all i heard about during the last olympics (i live in sydney, it was a little unavoidable), and i think i am now beyond caring what happens with our athletes
if i am going to watch the olympics i am going to watch it for the events themselves and the competition, and i agree that it is good to see the best athlete win, even if they are not from your country

i am not the biggest fan of the swimming really, i hate ian thorpe, and considering he seems to be the only person people talk about when they talk about swimming i tend to avoid it

Well then, I'd watch Michael Phelps. He says he can break Mark Spitz's record by earning eight gold medals. If he delivers, I think he is to swimming what the Dream Team is for Basketball: legends.
