Just curious,
Well if France would not be, the US of A(pes) would never be a country.
My 2 cents :D
More serious, France and England needed a long time to create their own states out of lots of countships aso. and they have both a verry bloody history while doing that.
But the US to has this bloody history, they also killed millions of people in that land where those Germans, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish conquistadores/migrants put foot (and they even continued the killing of the natives in the late 1890ies)

Didn't the last thread of the exact same title get locked?
Sir, your thread is worthless. It is a pity that immensely valuable threads are buried to make room for such a void.

Eh most threads here are anti-Bush anyway...

"Should" it be a country ? Am I to understand you're in favor of some international body which will decide what is a country and what isn't ?
Oh well, this could be interesting. Which are the qualities YOU think necessary for an entity to be called a country, then ?
:( :( :( :( :( :( :sniper: :mp5:
Indeed, most threads are worthless so it doesn't make so much difference.
Should any country exist?
If not, what is the plan to make it disappear?

Of course.
Of course.
It doesn't strike me that a democrat (non-capital 'd') can question the whole existance of a country just because it fails to always agree with you on every issue.
I'm actually inclined to say the US shouldn't be a country. In my opinion, we're just too damn big. Look what happened to the Soviet Union, look at how polarized we are...
I say split us up into a few countries. Two, three, maybe five.
Plus then we won't have this superpower bullshit anymore.

You see.... the thing is... if a moderator locks a thread, you do not, under any circumstances start another thread with the exact same title..
That tends to make the moderators's blood boil.. we don't want that now, do we?..

Plus then we won't have this superpower bullshit anymore. The problem is that you will then give all the resources to a small tiny country while th other countries will starve. For an example, look at the Africa/middle east. There are very small coutries made around the oil resources, like Qatar, United Arab Emirates and stuff while the big countries starve.
I think on the contrary that there should be one big democratic and rich country for the whole world.

And even when the title was there, it was only to piss off the French (after any hopes of conquering it ended anyway).

No it shouldn't, because then the US might not have become an independant country. But then if the Normans (Normandy being in france) hadn't taken england in 1066 yaddayaddayadda..
Actually it looks like the original question is too wide to make any sense at all without some precisions.
1/ The context. Should is relative to a context, according to who or what france sould or should not be a country?
2/ What defines a country. Which definition of a country is the poster refering to?
3/ Which France the poster is refering to? Obviously it is not about France as the french country, because it is obvious that if he was refering to France as the french country, he would not ask if France should be a country at all since it would be one by definition. The poster must use another definition of France in his question.
The poster was not clear and didn't intend to be clear in his question. But why post a question with no sense? What is he expecting us to do with that question?
1/ hi-jack the thread and talk about something else?
2/ let the thread die?
3/ call the mods to lock the thread?
4/ something else?
What do you think about his motives? Does he have an agenda, or was the man just bored to hell so as to post a random question on a random forum?

Now, be nice and share. I propose sharing France among EU-member states. Why France? The climate and the countryside is nice, and it's a comparably close to everyone else, so it makes more sense, than say, Italy. Moreover, Finland and Britain should get the choisest picks, because our climates suck. I call the French Riviera and part of the French Alps for Finland! Maybe some Brittany too. Ooh, and New Caledonia.
This all just leaves the matter of the French. I guess genocide is out of the question, but maybe they could emigrate somewhere?
Ok, Kentington, this is obviously a difficult concept for you, so I'll spell it out nice and simply.
When I lock a thread for being blatent flamebait/trolling, it means you don't go and start another thread which is exactly the same. You are now in direct defiance of a moderator and as such, I am giving you an official warning.
If you do not cease this constant trolling and flamebaiting, you will find your nation deleted. Do I make myself clear?
