Problem: Smart people aren't necessarely good people. If you're ruled by the most intelligent man in the world, who's to say he can't be a tyrannical despot?

Oh, and by the way, Einstein wasn't talking about technocracy. He never supported such a thing.

Technocracy is an economic system, has nothing to do with being ruled by the intelligent.

On the flip side of Einstein's quote, their is too much new science floating around out there for any politician to control it all. Why do you need to write a thesis to get a PhD? Because once you know a fair amount of your field, making a discovery to go into a thesis is easy.

See, technocracy takes that away from the politicians and gives it to everyone. It uses technology and makes basic comodities redilly available to the polulace with the smallest effort and resourse (human included).
