I would like to know if your views on America have changed since George Bush has become President. This is mostly aimed at non-Americans.

Really miss an option saying something like "didn't like the USA that much, and Bush has not improved it".

I thought "No, I've always disliked them" pretty much covered that.

Or..."I believe what they are doing is wrong, but I still respect them"

Yes, my views on the US (government) have been influenced in a negative way, that however does not mean I have no respect at all left for the US. (so I have not voted, no option corresponds with my opinion).
I however do think they (the Bush administration) and the voters need a reality check.

You can pick more then one option on the poll.

Number 1. Though I used to be very pro-American. But Bush and NS cured me from that affliction.

Number 2. I still respect them.

How about "Yes, and I respect them more."

Personally, I feel I understand America better then before visited internet forums. I never really had no respect for America, but similarly I never really had respect for America.

I don't like and have never liked the current administration, nor the previous one particularly (although moreso then the current one)

I love America stand up comedy (not sitcoms really though), and a few other parts of American culture. But it is annoying that the better parts of its culture are rarely 'exported' over the Atlantic, so we tend to see the worst part (uber-consumerist, fast/junk food etc)

lol

if only the problems with America were the responsbility of George W Bush

lol

Partisan politics manipulates the voting populace into camps that become so poloroized that they are incapable of seeing the roots of real state problems beyond the error of the other parties and specifically their leaders.

I have to say I use to respect the USA, I can't say that any more. I just hope the voters know what they are doing and vote Bush out. Even conservative Americans must realize the damage he has done to America around the world. I can't imagine how any one can not see that fact.

That's not a correct answer as the question was if I had changed my view on America. And it has, from bad to worse.

It was close enough.

What about an option: Never used to think much about them either way until this whole Iraq war malarkey?!

It's really tough to say. I go to work, I eat, I exercise, I sleep, and I don't vote for either of the two strong parties in government.

Am I doing something wrong that I don't know about?

I think you needed to pick a topic on what America may or may not be doing wrong. Most of us are just living our lives.

I believe a lot of what the current American government is very wrong and some of it plainly against international law.

But, I respect the USA as a country and much of what it has done in the past and contributed global society.
