So, I was chatting with my friend today and he was talking about religion. He used to be a drug addict and was on the wrong path. Now he's heavily into christianity, which is good, as long as it makes him happy and safe.

He then asked me the weirdest question that kinda made me think. It was, "When have you come closest to meeting the devil?" Now for one thing, I am an atheist, and I expressed that to him. He said the devil is many things; it isn't this huge red man that sits with a pitchfork with fire and brimstone, it's has a deeper meaning then that.

So I am just wondering if anyone thinks they have met the devil, or understand this "deep meaning", post it.

I've been called the Devil by some people, but I can't really say I ever met the guy.
Personally, I think the Devil has many different guises that vary from one person to the next. What the Devil is to one person, can be the salvation of another.

He might've meant some evil temptations or things of the sort...

Although, what those evil temptations are is to each his own....erm...

He may have meant confronting your worst fear/habit/aspect of your personality; I would imagine his former drug addiction is, for him, his devil.
