For those of you who don't know, a "pet peeve" is something that really annoys you.
What drives you the battiest on the NS forums?

people who post 3 threads per day about if you're going to vote for Kerry or Bush, especially since most of the people who have time to post here can't vote anyway, whether they deny it or not.
and also the fact that the same arguments show up day after day. I've learned that, as I once heard it said, arguing on the internet is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded. Cruel, yes. True, definitely.

People saying you must except and you have a messed up religon bastard, (slight parphase used.)
When clever people (or mods) start arguing against me. I can run rings around the average (average being a fairly poor quality) debator here, but I leave rather alarming holes in my logic. But when I start arguing with clever people who take a polar position to me, I give ground so rapidly I look positively French. (I don't like French jokes much, but sometimes...)
Oh, and Bush v Kerry threads
Other: too much posting period. I can never keep up with topics, since I don't have the time or will to just sit here reloading pages all day. Maybe a bit more breakdown within this general area into different topics... certainly a 'presidential election' category would help.

"What do you think of me?" polls
I also find spam annoying, but fortunately I haven't seen much lately.
It can be annoying when someone disappears from a debate right after I post stuff that appears to proves the other person wrong, but it's usually more amusing.
It's also frustrating when someone brings up a point/asks a question/makes an attack that's already been debunked/answered, especially if it took several pages to do that (another annoying thing). Once I was in a thread approaching 65 pages that was mostly a combination of those two.
People saying you must except and you have a messed up religon bastard, (slight parphase used.)What?

Anti-anything threads. Debate is nice and all, but do we really need a million threads against a paticular thing with no further stimulating debate other than the Bible, and what your Parents say?

What really bugs me is when somebody tries to imply something so strongly that they would have been better of saying it directly, an example being "I think a particular obese and retarded country positioned south of Canada and north of Mexico is a threat to world peace."
I also hate it when somebody posts a widely known conspiracy theory and thinks that they are a genius for typing a few words in a search engine and clicking on the shiny blue underlined symbols that pop up.

I hate when people present their opinions as fact, and then when you ask them for sources, they have none -- but insist they are right.
That, and "because God hates it" as a reason for everything you can imagine.
i am disappointed; this thread is already over a page in length and nobody has mentioned "bitchy know-it-alls whose names start with B and rhyme with throttle."
i must be losing my touch.

You're not really a "pet peeve", Bottle, more of a "royal pain in the ass." See, that's why no one's mentioned you. :)

Never heard of you. Must be because I'm new. I guess it wasn't an option but my pet peeve, not specifically for NS but for all forums in general, is people who think that having a lot of posts on internet forums is somehow indicitive of actual worth and social influence.
