There is no fatal flaw of a moderate. Unlike the liberals and conservatives, who are blinded by the ignorance of there ways, the moderate thinks for itself. It is not confined to one side or the other. They can function by them, selves. See through the partisan bullshit. They do what is best in thier opinion. These ppl are defidently the cream of the crop because they do something other political sides do not. THINK.

Errrrr this is absolutely ridiculous and poorly thought out.
Do you honestly believe anyone who is not a moderate only follows what they believe because others tell them that?
Did you ever consider maybe conservatives (well maybe liberals too, but I hesitate to say that) arrive at their beliefs AFTER THINKING ABOUT IT?
No, no you didn't. That's because you are so blinded in your own ignorance you think that no one else actually thinks about what they believe in, only you and other people who share your beliefs.

While the first post may have been poorly thought out, as a stereotype it's not that far off. While I have people on both extremes of the spectrum that have actually thought things out, the majority on both sides seem to take their cues entirely from someone else. They completely ignore any opposing argument, because to admit any validity to it would be to abandon their extremist views. Those on either extreme often have not researched their own arguments in depth, and have rarely researched those of their oponents.
However, those who are more moderate generally (although some have still taken their views straight from what someone else tells them) are such because they have looked at both sides, and have found that while both sides have valid points, neither is completely right.

Sure. Thats why there are democratic libs and conservitive republicans. Just naming yourself a liberal or conservative is tying your self down to something. You might as well just hook an ancor to that poticaular school of thought.

Not really. I call myself right-wing, it doesn't mean I adhere to the generalized beliefs of the right for EVERYTHING. In fact, on environmental issues I'm very very leftist and I'm quite open about that.
I have arrived at all my beliefs through what I've read, what I've seen, from discussions with others, and through my own thought. So yes, what the media says and such has had an influence, but it's hardly what made me think what I do. To say you have never been influenced in any way shape or form by any outside source is pure BS. You have to get your facts from somewhere, and those facts (wherever you got them from) are likely to be biased towards something in the way they are presented.
I oppose liberals because they stand against what I believe. If one of them makes a point I had not considered and I find it to be true, I will change my view on that. This has not ever happened. Until it does, I will stand by what I believe now.

I had my own school of thought, but I was expelled for putting Ben Gay in the jockstraps. :(
