The Blue Viper II

What do you think is the greastest Simpsons Epsiode ever created?

I have little doubt in my mind that the greatest episode ever was the one where Homer has the pile of sugar. It has so many great quotes in there. I love it!

Simpson, you diabolical...

Nelson:Here's the grapes... and here's the wrath!

What do you think?

I always liked the one where Burns sings about his exotic wardrobe, a la Beauty and the Beast

See my vest! See my vest! Made of real gorilla chest. Penny loafers, they were gophers...

The Otto Show, featuring guest-stars (no pun intended) Spinal Tap; Marge vs. the Monorail; or You Only Move Twice.

I quite like the one where Homer has the crayon taken out of his brain.

[i]"Hey Flanders, I have just proved mathematically that God can't exist"[/quote]

Also when Moe is doing the operation to make him stupid again is funny.

The first treehouse of horror with the sketch about Poe's "The Raven" and the alien abduction with the cooking book full of dust. Man, that was a great one.

And '22 short stories about Springfield' was so full of movie references that he deserves to be in the top 10.
The Black New World

'King of the hill' in season 9.

Where Homer climes the mountain and slides down on the corpse. The moment were Grandpas teeth fall into the bite mark is priceless.

The cult with the "Leader"

"We love the leader!"

"We toil in the fields, and he drives around in a Rolls Royce"

"Yes, it would be nice if he'd buy american, but what you gonna do"

You Only Move Twice (http://www.snpp.com/episodes/3F23.html), the episode where Homer gets a job working for Hank Scorpio that requires him to move to a corporate community.

Hank: Hey, look at my feet. You like those moccasins? Look in your closet; there's a pair for you. Don't like them? Then neither do I! [throws them out] Get the hell outta here! Ever see a guy say good-bye to a shoe?

Homer: [chuckles] Yes, once.

Oh! Also the Clown College episode, Homer the Clown (http://www.snpp.com/episodes/2F12.html).

Homer: That's it! You people have stood in my way long enough. I'm going to clown college! [leaves]
Bart: I don't think any of us expected him to say that.

Salesman: Well I can't _give_ you the car, Krusty, but I _can_ let you have this little number for practically nothing: only $38,000.
[bullets hit the car]
Homer: [suspicious] Hey, what are all these holes?
Salesman: [quickly] These are speed holes. They make the car go faster.
Homer: Oh, yeah. Speed holes!
[bullets riddle the car and smash the windshield]
Salesman: You want my advice? I think you should buy this car.

Funny thing is, after seeing that epsiode I put a small shelf on my wall, put beans on it and put up a sign saying Leader Beans.

Ohhh... I haven't seen all of them yet and there are so many good ones in any case - but my favorite that I've seen recently is where Bart gets a crush on the new neighbor/babysitter.

Bart the General

The key to Springfield has always been Elm Street.
The Greeks knew it. The Carthaginians knew it. Now <you> know it.
-- Herman,
-------------------------

Bart: What's the matter with you, soldier!
Boy: It's my nerves, sir. I just can't stand the barking any more.
Bart: Your nerves! [slaps the kid] I won't have cowards in my army.
Grampa: [whaps Bart] Sorry, Bart.
You can push them out of a plane, you can march them off a cliff,
you can send them off to die on some God-forsaken rock, but for
some reason you can't slap them.
-----------------------------------------

Herman: When he leaves the Kwik-E-Mart, we start the saturation bombing.
You got the water balloons?
Bart: [salutes] Two hundred rounds, sir. [holds a balloon]
Is it okay if they say `Happy Birthday' on the side?
Herman: Urgh. I'd rather they say `Death from Above', but I guess we're stuck.

See my vest! See my vest! Made of real gorilla chest. Penny loafers, they were gophers...

Some men hunt for sport
others hunt for food...
but they only thing I'm hunting for
is an outfit that looks gooooooood
see.. my.. vest
see my vest made from real gorilla chest
feel this sweater, theres no better, than authentic irish setter
see my hat
twas my cat
my evening wear, vampire bat
these white slippers are albino african endangered rhino
grizzley bear underwear
turtles necks, I've got my share
beret of poodle, on my noodleit shall rest
try my red robin suit
It comes one breast or two
see my vest, see my vest
see my vest.
like my loafers? Former gophers
it was that or skin my chauffeurs
but a greyhound fur tuxedo
would be best
so let's prepare these dogs
kill two for matching clogs
see my vest, see my vest,
oh please, won't you see my vest.

I agree, there's only been a few good episodes since Season Eight.

I would have to say that Last Exit to Springfield is the best episode ever. This is the one where Homer becomes union leader.

Lisa's Date With Density; The one where Homer gets that telemarketing scam going. So full of great quotes.
"I'll tell you something that's not so funny. Right now, Superintendant Chalmers is at home crying like a little girl!"
"No, pawns can't move that way, you stupid arm."

Homer The Heretic; The one where Homer skips church.
"Kids, let me tell you about another so-called "wicked'' guy. He had long hair and some wild ideas. He didn't always do what other people thought was right. And that man's name was... I forget. But the point is... I forget that, too. Marge, you know what I'm talking about. He used to drive that blue car?"

And Bart The Fink (Krusty and the IRS) just for the Cayman Islands Offshore Holding Corperation guy.
[on phone] [laughs] I'm sorry, but I cannot divulge information about that customer's secret, illegal account.
[hangs up]
Oh, crap. I shouldn't have said he was a customer.
Oh, crap. I shouldn't have said it was a secret.
Oh, crap! I certainly shouldn't have said it was illegal!
Ah, It's too hot today.

that episode were Homer goes to New York to pick up his car was great.
The crayon in the brain is a good second.
