Why do mobile-phone companies make it seem like deciding what mobile phone plan you get is the most important decision of your life? In adverts they make it seem like people really actually care what time it is they call. "OH, FUCK! It's 8 PM but my night-time minutes don't start until 9! I'M GONA' DIE!" People like this really need a life.

All commercials are like that. Well not all, just the vast majority of them. They take an idea that is based on some small truth, and they blow it so far out of proportion that whatever hint of truth that was there to begin with is barely recognizable. And in my personal experience It’s only getting worse.
