When will people get it into their skulls (get the reference to the title? eh? eh?) that liberal and left wing are not the same thing?

Americans, I hate to say this but you seem to be the worst perpetrators of this horrific act.
John Kerry, Michael Moore, CNN, etc etc are not filthy commie reds as you may have been told. They are liberals- basically, capitalists who developed a conscience a while back or socialists who lost their guts and started spouting more moderate message.

Please stop soiling the word "commie", it's been dragged through the mud already by the USSR and China. They did enough damage without you guys getting stuck in.

I dunno bout other Americans, but I knew that.

It generally boils down to one of two reasons.

1. It's a smear tactic used against the Democrats by Republican supporters.
