OCD at age 2?
My little brother is almost 2 years old. He is 23 months. He is really cool, except for one thing. I am beginning to think he has Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Seriously, the kid freaks me out sometimes. He is obsessed with wiping dirt or food or anything else off his hands. He cant have anything on his hands. Normal kids will just stuff their faces with spagehtti, eating with their hands, then try to run away. My brother stuffs his face with spaghetti, yells "Vipe!" really loudly, waits for me or my mom or dad to wipe his hands off, and then tries to run away. It is kinda funny how he says it, because he is a baby and talks funny. He does the same at the beach if there is sand on his hands, he will yell "Vipe", and wait until someone wipes his hands off with a towel before he runs away. Im wondering if he has OCD.

He could see it as a game.
Which is lucky for him, my parents tricked me into liking a game called "Washing Up" when I was younger.

Sounds like a normal, healthy 2 year old to me ... (I have 3 kids, by the way, so I have some idea)

many kids do that kind of thing and it means nothing. they just get focused on stuff. keep an eye on him. he's probably fine.

I don't know. It could just be a phase, little kids go through those all the time. My aunt, now, I'm pretty sure that she has OCD. She takes NINE HOURS to do her hair everyday because it has to be absolutely perfect before she goes out. And before she leaves her house it has to be spotless. And then she has these crazy mood swings, it's hard to tell whether she has OCD or if she is bipolar or both.

So you think he needs to be medicated? Bush would agree...
