Again, another thread that doesn't make sense, but it's a post by a conservative concerning the UN, so it's probably wrong.

Take a guess on how many threads can be around 897 posts without everyone having seen it, and then think what would be the purpose of bringing a topic to the front page in spite of lack of activity.

I get a vague feeling I might agree with you if I had a clue in hell what you said.... simply because I don't like the UN and your post doesn't seem to have a very high opinion of the UN. Other than that though, work on your English man.

Hmmmm *if* in fact that is what he meant, it can make sense I suppose. I see nothing wrong with authoritarian rule though. I do believe the U.S. should withdraw from the U.N, as I don't not see the U.N as a voice of reason or anything like that, quite the opposite actually.

I think it's a plea for help.

That would be mean.

I think we the U.S. should pull out of the UN because they do nothing but discuss things in a comittee while letting dictators ride on tigers as Churchill put it.

the UN 'S goal is to bring peace to the world. a noble goal. however it has failed.....dismaly.......again and again. It seems to me to be yet another bueracratic waste of money on a massive scale. all the humanitarian work it does is already done by other organizations. It's peace keeping efforts are notable ( any one ever hear about the killing fields of pol pot?) or maybe the crises of rwanda during which UN guards were not issued weapons. or how about the latest problem where they would not enforce their own resolutions. how about the oil for food scandal. A deeply flawed organization. I think that since most americans dissaprove of it , now would be a good time to relocate it and think about disbanning it. The only UN that even has the potential of working is the one on nationstates. at least the one on nationstates isnt a psuedo luege of nations that is so impotant like the united nations.
