I was just reading this and as I watched was listening to some Hardcore music (It was a beautiful moment)

A short flash presentation containing only fact. Yet the U.S military still insists that D.U has no harmful after effects. I guess the rest of the world didnt get the message ;)

The U.S still hasnt admitted how much DU it fired in the Iraq war. I wonder if New Auburnland posted news of any cleanup ops in his "Good news" thread. Now thats a U.S Military press release I'd actually like to see.

When I was at the end of my air force service, I had the chance to test some new weapons, including DU 20mm rounds. It was an awesome experience, however as with any radioactive thing cautions should be taken. I always thought that the people who handle those munitions should at least wear protective gear (like at the dentists' office). Let's face it, radiation isn't the best thing for your health. The military should institute more strict handling procedures, and the wearing of special breathing apparatus to prevent dust from the munitions.

If you go vaporising depleted Uranium by expending the US does (as warheads), it doesn't go away. All you do is turn it into smaller particles for people and animals to breath it in as well as contaminating the local environment. The US military don't want to go compensating veterans exposed to DU for dying from Cancer 20 years down the track.
