Conservatives against George W. Bush

I tend to be moderatly conservative in my political choices. However, this election I do not plan on voting for Bush. I believe he has lied and misled us and the world, though some of his lies/deceptions could be blamed on getting bad information from the CIA. That does not mean I will vote for Kerry *shudder* because I think Kerry just flip flops and brags about his war record instead of addressing the 'real issues' (aka whatever the media wants us to think is important). Fellow Conservatives what do you think of George W.?

George W. is an idiot. He seems to want bigger government, more spending, etc, which are all against Conservative ideals. And, as much as it pains me to say it, I'm voting for Kerry come November. As much as I don't like him, he's the only real choice vs. George W. Ah well. Perhaps the GOP will get good candidates in '08 (God knows Cheney won't run)

You voting for nader? Remember Conservatives that are voting for bush for some reason are funding Nader so he seems tobe a pawn of the Administration... I think Nader has a little good meaning but he is being duped.
If he doed'nt address the real issues and the medias is making up the real issues then maybe his issues are the real ones?

I can't vote yet (I will in the '08 election...), however... while I despise Bush, I despise Kerry more...

But this thread isn't about Kerry, so I'll say why I dislike Bush.

He's trying to increase government control and the debt has skyrocketed under his "leadership". His economic "plan" isn't very good either (although it IS better than Kerry's).

I am also extremely opposed to the Patriot Acts. While I do not believe privacy should be allowed to get in the way of national security, the problem is, the Patriot Act allows for people to be detained indefinitely, their possessions searched, etc. with absolutely NOTHING to even indicate they may have terrorist links. All they have to say is "oh we think he's a terrrorist" and they can do whatever they want...

As a social liberal and fiscal conservative, I plan to vote for John Kerry. The Democrats tacitly but effectively stand for fiscal responsibility, limited government, and so on, as exemplified by Bill Clinton. I would rarely vote Republican: the GOP likes to expand government in the ways I am most opposed to--i. e., invading people's personal lives and invading other countries unnecessarily--while spending outrageous amounts of money that have to be borrowed from China. While there is very little chance of a balanced budget in the next four years even with Democrats in control of both the presidency and the Senate, I shudder to think what would happen to our economic policy--and more importantly the havoc that would be wrought on the rest of the world--with four more years of President Bush.
