See, this is great. If there's terrorist "chatter", then we're worried. If there's no terrroist "chatter" then we're still worried. The assumption in the falling levels of terrorist chatter isn't that recent arrests and increased security is somehow actually being effective and causing disorganization, but that it means they're about to strike. Yep, obvious "proof" that we're winning the "War on Terror."

Apparently, although then I'm told we're on Triple Double-Dog-Dare-You alert and that less communication between terrorists is a bad thing, which is odd since it was my understanding that one of the aims in this presumptive war was to reduce the amount of communication between terrorists.

All in all, it's an excellent policial strategy. It's shoddy government, but excellent politics.
