Well, this came as a shock to me.. Mankato Minnesota has been declared "the funniest city in the whole of the United States of America"

Naturally being from Mankato, I agreed. But my first question was: "Based on..??"

the answer is: Surveys.. yes, surveys and 'humorous' card sales/purchases data.

Per capita more Mankatoans think themselves funny and think they know more funny people than any other people in any other city.. Thoughts, feelings?

huh, i have been to mankato on numerous occasions, and i must say that i agree, every time i have been there i have found the inhabitants constantly telling bad jokes and then laughing histerically at themselves. I have quite often been thrown out of bars and grocery stores for not chuckling as enthusiastically at some ones joke as i should have.
who knew that they would do a study on something like that... weird.
