Can we please just let this die? Or at least post something that actually has an argument in it?

Simple. The ones that have credit card debt are human. The ones who were smart enough to never develop credit cards are apes.

it's not fun being targeted personally by like 10 people everytime i come here in favour of creation. nobody ever satisfies my questions anyway, and nobody actually leaves the confounded computer to look at life outside the window.

the secret is to pick somebody you want to talk to and only deal with others later, if at all. and it also helps to keep the scope of your questions/arguments rather narrow.

WHy do you keep assuming that merely going outside will instantly make us understand and accept creationism?

yes, whenever i make a general point i get like 5 rebuttals. whenever am i going to deal with them all...

for one, sitting in a lab or in front of a computer will not aid you in looking for the origin of life.
of course you have to go out and experience and observe for yourself in order to understand. if you don't observe life yourself, how do you expect to understand the origin of life?

Well, most rebuttles will fall along general lines and you can deal with them en masse. However, if your one argument generates five different rebuttles that are unique, you might want to check your premises.

1) I don't know that anyone on these forums spend all their time inside (but I'm not gauranteeing anything...)
2) You can't make your entire decision based off what emotions you recieve while you're outside thinking about some guys poem that you hijacked the idea from.

If you mean natural selection, that can be validated in a few days of observation, and probably on the cheap at that.
If you mean the little warm pond, stick it with God's Week of Lots and Lots of Stress and all the other creation myths on the philosophy bus and let people decide for themselves when they boot up the reason part of their brains.

Believing in creation and believing in creationism are two very different things. I, for one, believe on faith that God created the universe. I see "proofs," although not in the scientific sense, of this every time I look at something amazing in nature or learn a new specific about the complexity of biology.
However, as to *how* this creation was performed (other than the whole "God did it" part), I look to science. And, as far as all the evidence goes right now, science points to evolution. So I believe that God created by making all the starting materials for the universe and putting the "rules" in place that govern it. These rules would include the mechanisms for evolution.
Now, there are many that will attack me for being stupid for relying on faith for anything. There are also those that will attack me for not relying on faith enough. However, I feel that I strike a pretty good balance between the two. =)

well, how often do you sit in a park and observe life and then wonder the origin of life?
i don't read poems, and therefore the similarity is purely coincidential.

Uh...dood, I go caving and crap...
I've seen lifeforms you didn't even know existed.
In caves, bats are the only animals with any sort of coloration, and that's only because they're outside of the cave most of the time (especially during the night) and natural selection meant that black bats didn't get snatched up by owls (owls eat a lot of bats). Aside from bats, any animal you see in a cave is a pale whitish color due to the fact that they have no sunlight and because all animals in caves are pretty much blind so survival doesn't depend on visual camoflague.

Heh, don't worry about replying to them all, then. Like Free Soviets said, pick one or two that you think are at least partially receptive to having a constructive debate (or that you think you have the best chance of stomping into the dirt...whatever floats your boat) and concentrate on them. The rest of us are just bumping post count, anyway. :)

Congratualations on missing the point. Also, the other thread is ten pages short, so lock on this one.
