These aren't mutually exclusive. He is stating that he's a war president, which is true, as he's a sitting president who over saw two wars, (three if you count 'The War on Terror'). The second quote is him stating that he didn't seek out being a war president, and that he'd rather be a peace president.

Now, you may believe he's lying in the second statement, but the two do not discount each other.

Let me ask a basic question. Why in God's name would I pay any attention to websites written by angry liberals who HATE bush, and are trying to change my oppinion? It doesn't make a lot of sense. If anyone has half a brain in their head, than they won't let their views be played with by a group that wants to do just that.

I don't like Bush, but kerry is a douchebag and a coward and a hypocrite. He protested the vietnam war and threw someone else's medals back in protest; he kept his. In fact one of the major points of his campaign is his three undeserved purple hearts? The dude snowboards.
