A jester? Too much work.
A good job is one where you don't have to do anything much and can just post on NS all day.

They don't need a jester for the British Royal Family. The family itself are already jesters, just without the costumes.

It isn't for the royals, it is for tourists.
Actually we could gradually substitue the royal family for jesters.
Hopefully that would mean we would not lose tourism when a Republic is declared.
Think about it, a jester opening parliament would be cool.

As an english person I can only apologise to the rest of the world.

You don't want to come here. Trust me. Customs was bad enough for me, a US citizen, I don't even want to think about immigration.
I dislike the royal family. Like, seriously. It's none of my business but you wouldn't lose my tourism if you ditched it.

Heck, I think it's cool. o.o

Jester's qualifications include merriness and owning an outfit with bells.

A few of my friends get annoyed when I explain Post Hoc fallacy by saying:
"Britain has a tourist industry, it also has a monarchy. Therefore the Monarchy attracts tourists."

I was close to a jester once. I was a childrens costumed entertainer (that is, clown but dressed like a cartoon character-most often a Ninja Turtle.) It was indeed the Best. Job. Ever.
