Terrorists hijack YOUR thread - what do YOU do?



You are enjoying your discussion about what band is TEH SHIT!!! and what band SUXORS!!!, sitting quietly tapping away at your keyboard, when four posters suddenly appear and start a Bush/Kerry debate. They say they are hijacking the thread and taking it where they please. Three other posters (two of them known to be puppets) start arguing with them, and asking them to take their little spat elsewhere, but to no avail - a grammar nazi comes out of thin air and starts picking holes in the difference between the verbs "to infer" and "to imply". You have a sinking feeling in your stomach as the whole thread starts to descend...

What do you do?

Bomb the hell out-of 'em with similar weapons they use such as annoying off-topic debate and grammer-critique. Maybe you could, for this specific purpose, hire some mercenaries and find allies which are experts in the art of grammer and off-topic warriorism.

And don't stop there. You could found The Anti-Thread-Terrorism Network, force all nations to chose sides, denounce those who do not chose sides and start Forum War 1.

I would bemoan the loss of word games.

But then, I'm an idealist.

I favor the policy of no negotiation with terorists. Consider the thread dead as soon as it is taken hostage, and that the terorists are murderers. maybe you get the thread back, maybe not but it will discourage future acts of thread hijacking. It's a policy that seems to work well for the Israelis, they never get hijacked any more and lots of people hate them.

I agree on the Anti-Thread-Terrorism Network and Forum War 1 thing, but don't stop there! You must commit Forum Seppukku (which I definitely spelled wrong) and set your thread on fire. It is the only honorable way.

The logical solution would be to spare no expense to uncover the identities and addresses of all offending parties and to release specially trained scrotum-seeking attack weasels into their houses.

Unfortunately, what logical person would train weasels to seek scrotums? Personally, I'd fear a training mishap.

I can think of any number of people who could improve their contribution to society as a whole by serving as targets for scrotum-seeking attack weasels.

If I cared enough about the thread enough, I'd start playing their "game" by having any combination of my 11 nations debate against "each other" over the original topic.
