What would you do?

Pyro Kittens

I just read an article about a man that had just adopted a kitten for the ASPCA. he had strapped the kitten to a leash and was swinging the kitten through the air and impailing him on the sidewalk. After one hit several people attacked him and the kitten was saved. If you were in an onlookers position, what would you do?

I keep a sharpened replica of sting, Frodos sword from The lod of the rings in my room. I would use that to remove him form his current position with the kitten. I would be just so emotionaly disturbed that I was not in control of my self, I really did not mean to kill him. }:-)

Impaling him on the sidewalk?

Impale:

To pierce with a sharp stake or point.

I think I'd give him an odd look, and remember the situation for later anecdotage.

i would have done my best to restrain him and keep witnesses around until the police got there and then have him arrested. If I had to I might defend myself by beating his ass. I don't believe in violence unless you are defending yoruself. If you don't agree with someones actions, no matter how repulsive, you shouldn't lower yourself to their standards just because that is all they understand. I would want to hit the guy so hard he would think it was teh second coming of christ, but the better idea is to have him legally punished.

Pyro: You'd really rather save a kitten than save a homo sapiens? Wow. He could be really smart, and was just stupid enough to take too much beer..

Animals aren't so easily protected as people. I would act violently to help the defenceless creature as there is no other option.

I'd save a kitten over some lousy human any day. Hell I wouldn't even need an excuse to knife the guy.

I'd take the kitten then take the leash and start beating him face in with it, along with my fists and feet etc..

...It's just a cat. Why isn't everyone complaing about the ASPCA giving him the thing in the first place?

Yeah, at least some violent speech would be in order. If the person didn't cease and desist, you could be justified in (at least) forcibly removing the kitten from the person's possession.

Kitten-thwacking bastard. Grr. Deserves a kick in the throat, but that might not be as legally defensible as, say, just getting the kitten away from him.

well, seeing as how kittens are helpless, i'd shoot the guy in the throat and take his wallet.

in my opinion, it's worse to see an animal suffer than it is to see a person suffer..

I agree... a full background check, drug screening, personal reference check, urine sample, and 3 week waiting period should be required before a kitten is givin away to be "thwacked".

... just as long as they don't pull my credit report.

Jeez.. that's cold.. "just a cat". It's a good thing it couldn't feel the extreme pain while it was bing pounded on the pavement.. oh, wait..

I'm also quite certain it's the ASPCA's fault. I'm sure he told them he was going to swing the kitten around and smack it into the sidewalk.. They shouldn't have given it to him. Yeah.. totally the ASPCA's fault..

Will there be spanking? ;)

My name's the French for "Fox" which should give you a rough idea of my favorite animal, but even with Foxes, it's not worth brutally assaulting people.
