Lets break down the divisions with my predictions
NFC East:
1. Dallas Cowboys: Getting Eddie George will help this improving team. Parcels did the impossible with that playoff appearance last year and good will continue
2. Philly Eagles: They will be a Wildcard team. McNaab seems to have problems and chokes in the big game. TO will be a good addition, but will it be enough? Good defense, bad run offense.
3. NY Giants: rebuilding year with 2 new QBs, rookie Eli Manning and Kurt Warner who has struggled recently. Lets see them be contenders in 2 years.
4. Washington Redskins: OUCH!!! After good expectations with Spurrier turning sour, he left. New coach again for them. Expect a bad finish with this team having problems all over the field,
NCF North:
1. Chicago Bears: Yes I'm a Bears fan. Lovie will improve this team. Grossman at QB will help along with 2nd year recievers Gage and Wade. Veterens like Booker help. Run is solid with A-Train and Jones. D has good secondary and LBs along with good rookies on the line. Expect a surprise here
2.GB Packers: Favre can't do it every year and will start to slow down. Ahman Green can't carry the offense and when your best WR is Donald Driver something is wrong, average Defense
3. Minnesota Vikings: Expect them to start out good again and collapse again. Duante Culpepper will be consistently good, but he has few WRs to throw to. The offense will put up numbers, but the defense will give up more
4. Detroit LIons: CLowns, need I say more. Harrington will be inconsistent and the rest of the team will be consistently bad.
More to come from other divisions

Lovie may improve the team, but you're really being a homer by suggesting that the Bears will win the division. Anything's possible in the NFL, but the Pack is always tough and the Lions won't be the clowns you hope they'll be.
But I feel for you--I was raised in south Louisiana, so I've been a Saints fan all my life. This year will be especially painful, I think, because we've got talent and we're in a division that, while tough, is winnable.

NFC South
Atlanta Falcons - If Michael Vick stays healthy they'll take the division easily, look for them to place 1st or 2nd in the conference.
Carolina Panthers - Their Super Bowl run was mostly luck, but they should be able to make a wild card spot.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Aging team and troubled recieving core will make the playoffs a difficult goal to reach.
New Orleans Saints - Aaron Brooks will have to come back from last year's slump in ahuge way to help this team at all.

Buc are through, I don't think Alstott is as good as he use to be. Besides, John Schoop is a coach there now.
I think the Falcons will improve, but Vick needs some receivers and can't do it alone, Panthers will win the division and die 1st round

The Pack won't win based on the fact that Favre is aging. It's more than Lovie, it's Grossman. A huge improvement over Stewart or Chandler or even Miller, Mieir, etc. (you see where I'm going). The problem with the Bears was shitty play calling from schoop who ran up the middle on 3rd and long. Lovie won't do that. He also will improve the defense from Greg Blache's infamous "Sacks aren't important" idea.

You know something funny about this division--I've seen half a dozen different predictions and they've all got different orders of finish. Every team has been picked a winner by at least one publication--Playboy picked my Saints, while someone else put them last. It's really a tossup depending on who stays healthy and who lives up to their potential.

The Pats look even stronger than they did last year.
Best news is: Dillon is really hooking up into the team concept. A good running game will open up the game even more for the Pats.
Repeating a superbowl is hard, but they have a better chance of it than any team in recent memory. WATCH OUT! HERE WE COME! GO PATS!

The Saints certainly have the talent to win the division--a tremendous receiving corps, Deuce McAllister running the ball, Aaron Brooks has tremedous talent when he uses it--but they're the Saints. That's what's so maddening about this coming year--that and the fact that I'm on the west coast and will never get to see them play on tv.

Last team was the Broncos in XXXII and XXXIII. Good teams both under Elway. I think the Pats do stand a good chance and may just do it. (I like Tom Brady being a Michigan fan)
NFC South:
1st. Carolina Panthers: Win division, but fall early in the playoffs
2nd. Atlanta Falcons 500 team. VIck does well, but has not support elsewhere on the team and can't do it alone
3rd. Saints: Brooks inproves the team, but they won't be going far.
4th: Tampa Bay Bucs: They have fallen far from the Superbowl championship in the 2002 season. Alstott may not come back full and the offense and defense lost a lot in free agency. Goodbye Keyshawn!!!
NFC West: Weak division
1st St. Louis Rams: Bulger takes over and tries to return to the playoffs. Shouldn't be hard in this division
2nd: Arizona Cardinals: few big stars, but they may be inspired by Pat Tilleman's sacrafice to win
3rd: Seahawks, they are less screwed than the niners, that's my only reason
4th: SF 49ers: They lost Garcia and TO. Say goodbye offense and they can stick to their bad Defense. What a sad fall
AFC predictions coming soon
Bears will kill the Lambs (Lions) opening day

personnaly i just think that the patriots should be at least pencilled in for another superbowl victory. (i know "nobody repeats anymore") but hear me out. i think they lost one starter and gained a ground game(c. dillon). they also had an excelent draft in getting wilfork. then again the last two superbowl winners before them didnt reach the playoffs.

AFC West Predictions!
Denver Broncos: Wins the West and Moves to the AFC Title Game! Against who? New England Patriots
Kansas City Chiefs: Will Give Denver a run for their money. Possible Wild Card Team
San Diego Chargers: Haven't heard much on them lately but they could be in the running for a Wild Card. I don't think they will make the playoffs
Oakland Raiders: Suck! To old as they proved last year and will finish last in the AFC West!
This is all i'm going to do for now. I will do more when I'm up to it.

They lost a few starters. Ted Washington and Damien Woody come to mind, I think they lost a few more. But they've gained even more. Vince Wilfork is supposedly a more athletic Ted Washington, and Roosevelt Coleman, touted as the greatest free agent pickup in the NFL last season before he got injured for the entire season, will make a huge impact on defense. And the addition of Corey Dillion will give a running game to an otherwise very one sided New England offense. And Ben Watson should be an improvement over Daniel Graham.
However, there are quite a few teams this season that pose a significant threat to the Pats' chances of repeating. Philadelphia loaded up during the offseason, and are in a position to finally make the Super Bowl after three years of falling just short. The Colts are stinging after the beatdown they recieved by New England last season, and are likely out looking to dethrone the champs. Denver is a breeding ground for running backs, so the Broncos should have no problem replacing Portis, which means they came out of the Redskins trade way ahead. They pose a significant threat as well. The Seahawks and the Chiefs also have the tools to win it all. So, unlike last season when the Patriots were head and shoulders above the rest of the league, this season there are several teams that can win it all.
That all being said, I'm still from Massachusetts, so GO PATS!!!!
My NFC East predictions will be changed as Quincy Carter got released on waivers now.
Any thoughts on Tim Brown's release, as old and washed up as he is, he is still better than anyone else they have. (besides Rice)

Slaughtered, I don't think so, but they would have lost, if just to keep with the expectations of the franchise.
The Eagles will lose again. McNaab will choke as he always does. He reminds me of Peyton Manning in college, always losing the big game.
Preseason is on Madden is out and I bet $50 that Ray Lewis gets injured

You know, the team isn't the QB. The reason we lost our last NFC championship game was because
1.) Massive abuse of the contact rules, ie regular defensive pass interference
2.) Bad receivers on top of that
Not because Donovan choked. I mean yeah if you look at the interceptions on their own they're bad, but that dosen't mean it was the QB's fault. I remember one was when James Trash managed to bobble it right into Ricky's hands. Anyway...
NFC East :
Philadelphia
Washington
Dallas
NY Giants
NFC South (By far the toughest division to call):
New Orleans
Atlanta
Carolina
Tampa Bay
NFC North :
Minnesota
Green Bay
Detroit
Chicago
NFC West :
Seattle
St. Louis
Arizona
San Francisco
AFC East (Another tough division after the Pats) :
New England
Buffalo
Miami
NY Jets
AFC South :
Indianapolis
Tennessee
Jacksonville
Texas
AFC North :
Baltimore
Cincinnati
Pittsburgh
Cleveland
AFC West :
Kansas City
Denver
Oakland
San Diego
Its tough because there's a lot of variables. If injuries deciminate a team like they did to the Eagles last season, they're not going to stand up to a much-improved Redskins. On the other hand, there's always going to be a few suprise teams and a few big busts. Based on history the Pats will be only average. In the beggining of last season, everyone was saying that the Bucs were destined - and that their offense was even better. Whoops, our bad.

I'm a Jets fan .... yeah, that's right, you heard me ... a Jets fan.
Before you go nuts ... I've been watching the Jets since I was a toddler and I'm loyal to the team.
I'm not sure about their chances this season - doesn't look too good from where I sit - but I'll watch every game and go to any game they play locally.
Anyway, I thought I'd throw in my predictions for this season:
Most Comedic Team: Green Bay Packers. I have a gut feeling that they're going to be the NFL whipping boy this season. Should watch their games just for the humor value, especially the Driver follies.
Best Solid Lineup: New England Patriots. Not going to be a showboat season for them, but I think their lineup will make for some astounding matches. I am especially interested in seeing how they stack up against the Carolina Panthers.
Superbowl: Indianapolis Colts (shut up, Cowboys fans) vs. Minnesota Vikings. It will be a tough match, but the Vikings will make some bad red zone decisions as usual and I am predicting the Colts by FG in OT.

I'm a big Bears fan, but I'm still worried about Minnesota. They're supposed to be good on paper- they always are, they just get a head case and break down psychotically midway through the season. Still, I can't help but trust my gut.
NFC North:
1. Vikings
2. Bears
3. Lions
4. Packers. Because they SUCK.
NFC Playoffs:
1. Eagles
2. Atlanta
3. Rams
4. Minnesota
5. Ummm...Washington? I don't know.
6. Bears. Stop laughing!
AFC Playoffs:
1. Pats
2. Titans
3. Colts
4. Denver
5. Titans
6. Miami. They will lose immediately.
NFC Winner: Eagles
AFC Winner: Pats
Superbowl winner: Eagles. Unless they choke. In which case the Pats

However! Jake and Co. will win the AFC West and Make it to the AFC Title game versus (drum roll please) New England Patriots. It'll be a close game but it'll be Denver and Philly in the Title game. Oh I know he's popular, and they did win the Superbowl when he was the coach in 1984. Hell, he was popular enough that his name was bandied around as being a Senate candidate against Obama--he backed out. But the game has passed him by, and he doesn't have what it takes to be a coach anymore, and didn't when the Saints hired him.

He did bad with the Saints because the players didn't work in his system and the GM wouldn't get players he needed.
He did well in Chicago with 6 straight NFC Central crowns and was fired after 1 losing season after 7 straight playoff years

Ditka had all the control he wanted. He made the Ricky Williams deal, didn't he? Said Williams was the final piece of the puzzle when he traded away the draft for him.
Look--I'm not dogging him for his time with the Bears. Ditka fit that team and they got a Superbowl out of it. But when Benson hired Ditka for the Saints, he wasn't hiring the best available coach--he was hiring a personality who would put butts in the seats, and that's what he got. And the Saints got four more losing seasons out of it.

Fair enough--but it proved that Ditka was wrong about the level of talent for the rest of the team, and he had to take the heat for that decision. Had the Saints been anywhere near as good as Ditka thought they were, they'd have done better than 3-13, even with an injured Ricky Williams.
