Earth! Who the hell would want to live on Venus? Average temperature around 450 celcius, 90 times Earth atmospheric presure, and it's mostly CO2. Oh yeah, and then there's the Hydrochoric acid that's present in the atmosphere. Yeah, yeah, real nice place!

Mars, is hardly any better, the atmosphere is also composed of mainly CO2 and it's very thin - about 1% of Earths, as a result the temperature ossilates to a much highter degree than Earth. It's also colder there.

I'll stay on Earth, thanks!

I like Mercury, it has these cool little diamond shaped animals that feed off vibrations there.

Well if earth is so great then why is NASA trying to colonize MARS? :p

MARS has a lot of good points too.... there arent any wars there. It's closer to the sun. Neither George Bush or Saddam Hussein live there nor rule there. You will not find weapons of mass destruction anytime soon. Diseases have not been discovered there yet. No terrorism on Mars.

I wanna change my vote to Mars now.

Mars because although it is mostly desert it has the remnants of the once great Barsoomian civilisation.

I would however, have liked an option of chosing Venus because of its spectacular lush jungles.

Yeah, but it is named after the god of war, which may be a bad sign of things to come.

Whoa man like why do we have to argue besides that's the point of polls so I choose earth man cause like I like my body fluids. Anyway a united govermont would suck what if the person in power took over then we would have a dictatorship ruling the world what if they outlawed pot? what if they forced me to wear a uniform when I went to school what if they put me in prison for 15 years for telling my children about athiesm. Huh? What then you don't like the laws where can you go? NO WHERE that for sure because your stuck on earth and the laws keep getting worse and worse intill your regulated too thin that you can't even breath with out stepping out of place. It probally wouldn't happen but in general I wouldn't go for a united govermont.

Earth and Mars? Comparitively boring.

What about the Moon? (yes it is a planet. It Wanders). In a lunar base, you could strap wings on your arms and fly! Self-powered flight! Bwah-hah!
Besides, where else would you want to have your honeymoon?

Venus! It's a nice place, so long as you stay away from the surface. 70 klicks up, (give or take a bit), air pressure and temperature are comparable to earth, and the 'days' are much shorter due to wind currents. As soon as some bright spark as reengineered jellyfish into living hydrogen balloons, we'll be set.

Europa! Nice thick ice sheet to protect you from Jupiter's radiation (hmm, does that actually work, I wonder)? and warm volvanic vents.

Io! Send your local politician there on a fact finding mission today!

Titan! Hmm, on reflection, maybe a 'snooker shot' is called for. It Titan hit Venus on the right angle, it'd give Venus a Earth-length day, a nitrogen atmosphere and Titan would become the local 'moon'. Maybe we hold off on the hydrogen jellyfish...
I love meglomania, meglomania is my friend!

Mars has the best theme tune (bar Jupiter), but you'd die pretty quickly there, and I imagine the novelty of seeing pink sky just isn't worth certain death. Earth wins.

just to run with something I saw on tv once....
what if we started off on Mars... things got crap, atmosphere, life generally... so we jumped planet and came to Earth...
what if humans originated on Mars... or for all we know further afield...
If humans were martians, if we were some highly developed species on Mars, maybe thats how the wonders of this planet are here?

perhaps the price for coming to earth was losing a lot of technology and having to start again...
maybe coming to earth helped wipe out dinosaurs and the such....

I dunno

well it was actually doing fine with the humans too, for like millions of years until about 10,000 years ago when we invented "totalitarian agriculture"
FARMING IS THE CULPRIT
but the need to farm would be even greater on mars. So I still choose earth

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. And since we're the only ones to behold it, I guess that makes us essential to the natural beauty of the Earth. Plus, if humans hadn't evolved, then the world would be populated by Republicans.
