First of all I had straight A's that year, and he did not have close to that. Second of all it was improper English.

Straight A's means you work harder, not much else.

I totally agree
I mean I understand that we have to try and make things intelligible to others, but I find being picked on because I forgot a comma is rather annoying.

Personally I run everything through word (not perfect but better then my natural spelling ability) in order to at least try to make myself seem semi intelligent

But hey settle down grammar Nazis like he said bust the people that talk constantly in AOLspeek rather then those of us that through a lol in there (oh btw feel free to bust the chops of anyone that does all caps speak )

It's often perfectly understandable, you can even read it semifast and get the meaning. Why? Well, there has actually been studies that have proven that if the first and last letter is on the right place in the word and the other letters are in it but mixed up you will guess the word automaticly without thinking. So, I wouldn't think that you would guess alot worse just because some letter are excluded or replaced by a "1337"-letter(incase you know this "language"/"alphabet").

Actually... that one took awhile.

Especially the last word. Part of the reason that works is because you have certain expectations of what words will come next. I expected "also" as the last word and so I was stumped as to what "aslewl" was. :D Plus, aswell is not one word. :p
