Bush wont speak to black reporters and wants people to sign Loyalty Oaths
*In more campaign news, it appears that Bush has racial qualifications for reporters that he will speak to and Bushs campaign utilizies communist practices of forcing people to sign Loyalty Oaths to be at republican events
Bush Campaign Asks Race of Newspaper Photographer
On the campaign trail, the Bush re-election campaign has come under criticism after the campaign insisted on knowing the race of a photographer from the Arizona Daily Star before she was allowed to photograph an event featuring Vice President Dick Cheney. The paper refused to tell the campaign. A spokesperson for the campaign defended the request as an appropriate security measure. But the managing editor of the paper Teri Hayt said "One has to wonder what they were going to do with that information. Because she has Indian ancestry, were they going to deny her access? I don't know."
Bush Campaign Requires Loyalty Oath to Attend Event
Meanwhile outside Albuquerque, the Bush-Cheney campaign has come under criticism for requiring members of the public to sign a loyalty oath to the President in order to attend a campaign event held at a public middle school. Tickets were limited to past Republican supporters and to people who would sign the pledge. One local Democrat told the Albuquerque Journal "I am furious. This reminds me of communism. I am appalled. This is supposed to be a free country."

I know, I live in Albuquerque a few minutes away from the event and was pissed at this. Only you know what? The Albuquerque Journal ran a front page story on the event, with the title "Cheney: 'I Really Like This Crowd'". Only buried in the back did they mention that you had to support Bush/Cheney to get in... so duh, he'd like the crowd.
Oh and this is old news. He was in Albuquerque a couple days ago.
Enough of your democracynow site, already.
Bushs campaign utilizies communist practices of forcing people to sign Loyalty Oaths to be at republican events
It is fascism, not communism, that demands national loyalty. Genuine communism (communism without any social classes, including political ones) is the exact opposite of fascism. It is also strongly opposed to nationalism and favors international coöperation against capitalism.

I wonder if the photographer would have been allowed in if he was of Middle-Eastern origin?

Do the Jewish people constitute a social class for this equation? Experience in the USSR seems to suggest that they do, and as such there was, as you know, a "strong drive" to destroy the cultural identity which set them apart from from the rest of the people.

The USSR was really a form of state capitalism, not communism. I thought you knew that.

I know that, but Marx himself was aware of the problem that religious/cultural subgroupings caused within his theories, and the same problem applies withn anarcho-communism.

I thought you were an anarcho-communist.
I am, but I am not so blithe as to pretend that there do not still remain problems in the theories which underlie it and influence it: in this case where do those stand who do not want to be unified with all the rest of the people, but want to maintain their cultural/social/economic/whatever identities.

Let me give you a tip homer, link the URL to the ACTUAL STORY, not just the front page of that site. I looked for both of those stories, hoping I'd find links to the INDEPENDANT news sources that provided that information in the first place. I couldn't find the actual stories.
Those are fake stories intended ONLY to bash, and slander. Lies, pure lies... until you can prove otherwise.

Maybe Bush doesnt like black people. He was probably just messin with that Colin Powell guy. I bet that job sucks. Actually I see him standing next to lots of (offwhite) people. Many of which he appointed. He must dislike or distrust black people soo much that he wants to keep em near... So as to watch em better. That must be why their family is in oil...to keep a better watch on those dark skinned middleeast peeps. Ya you got him pegged alright.
Everybody hates Bush...poor guy...seems so nice to me. Oh well. As soon as someone named boobies runs for president, They'll get my vote. Till then I'm a Bushman.

To be honest - It's pretty obvious that in private, Mr. Bush is probably a racist. You can just tell - he's from Texas.

Usually all you need to do is copy the URL in the address bar of your browser while you are viewing the article. Some sites make it more difficult, but most work well this way.

Wow, what will they think of next.
Sorry to jump in here if this was already mentioned, but i think that it is important for everyone to know that Bush's cabinet handpicked who was allowed to go to Iraq and and report on the war. Has everyone here read 1984?
As for the loyalty oaths, wow wow wow. I am a large supporter of communism (the ideal though, not the tried and failed method) but loyalty oaths should never ever be required. That is like making your citizens happy by forcing them to sign happiness oaths. It is mind control. Has everyone here read Catch 22?

Not true, or a distortion of events. The Bush cabinet did not prevent reporters fromgoing to Iraq to cover the war. Instead reproters were picked to go with the military suring the war, but reporters not picked or who chose not to join the military were free to go to Iraq and report on the war, and several did so.
Yes as far as I know.
Well despite MKs claim there were no loyalty oaths. At a rally for Bush/Cheney supporters, tickets (free) were given to either registered republicans or people who were willing to sign a form attesting to the fact that they were Bush supporters. No mind control, actually crowd control (there were fears that anti-Bush people would take some of the limited seats from the peope the campaign rally was for). One can certainly take exception to this, but it was not a loyalty oath.
Yes, but does Catch-22 have anymore relevance to the issue than A Night At The Opera?

If you're dealing with a frames site that has the same url in the url window for every sub-page, right click on the link to the page you are referencing and select "Copy Shortcut". Then paste that into your post.
