Stripclub question

Why are stripclubs for women (with male performers) so much more raucous than stripclubs for men (with female performers)?

Feel free to pose your own stripclub questions if you have them.

You're a dirty girl aren't you? ;)

Could it be because women tend to be more vocal than men when it comes to such things?

because women are secertly more wild in front of naked people than they want to admit. . .

I knew someone who worked in one (he quit, working nights was killing him), I think it's the atmosphere and the clientel, women (I assume) go there for general entertainment rather than the seedy men.

That and the bouncers would happily beat the shit out of a bloke who got noisey, at least, that's the impression I get from my mate.

There is some truth to that. A buddy hired a male stripper for his wifes "29th" Birthday party. ;)

He was kind of jelous because he asked a bunch of us to hang with him outside! He regretted it because we kept him "That guy is SOOOO GAY!"

Oppps Tangent......

What I was going to say is that the women were almost out of control! they got so loud and so that the cops were called in! ;)

And yet, unless its a frat party or something, men seem rather sedate by comparison.

Wanna know why?

Next time you see a guy watching a stripper, relate it to how a lion watches it's prey.

Guys probebly get a biiiiiiiit mroe obsessive about it. To girls, it's a PARTY, so you're gonna laugh and scream and have fun with it.

Actually from what I remember of my last time in a strip club, there was no resemblance at all to a predator among the male patrons, unless you are refering to a lion watching prey which has beaten it over the head with a club and let the lion know in no uncertain terms that if the lion were to even think about getting near it that the lion would be a rug 3 seconds later. I suspect if men were allowed to take the liberties with female strippers that women take with male strippers than the men would be having just as much fun as the women. But usually if a man touches a dancer anywhere he gets a warning from the bouncers, and if he were to touch her genitalia he would wake up in an alley somewhere, compare that to what women get away with.

I wonder if the behavior of women at strip clubs is more attributable to a false belief about how men behave in strip clubs than anything else. If you've never been in a mens club then you might have some pretty strange ideas about what goes on there.

Heck you can't even touch a female dancer if she is giving you a lap dance. Bubba stands there staring at you. I've seen where male dancers were putting whipped cream on their "anatomy", then these "ladies" were sucking the cream off.

No it cannot be that, because I've been in homosexual clubs (not strip clubs though) and they can be as raucous as strip clubs for women.

I don't know--I think Goed's on to something there. It doesn't matter to the guys I've been with in strip clubs that they have absolutely no chance at getting lucky with any of these women--doesn't matter--they still look at the women as potential conquests, and not of the emotional kind. They're looking at these women as the fulfillment of every Penthouse-Letters-fueled masturbatory fantasy, and the fact that Bubba's in the corner doesn't come close to entering into it other than to keep them from physically touching the girls.

I would suspect alt. clubs appeal to people already trying to push the limits...I instead suspect that heterosexual men are being sexually repressed by society. A raucous fun experience is what a strip club should be, but society does not allow men to behave so (well if they value their bodies).

You poor little teenaged boy you. My heart bleeds for you. Did you suddenly wake up to the news that you haven't got anything to bargain for respect or authority? Then comes the news that almost every other group in society has more than you do? Girls in your class are doing better, and they don't feel as sorry for themselves...

If you want a serious answer, here is one. The reason really lays in the psychology between men and women. Men and women go to strip clubs for completely different reasons.

Not very often will you see a male strip club without a dance floor for the women to dance on. Women think of it more as a party situation and take their other girlfriends and they dance and party the whole atmosphere is different. Women are not as visual as men are. Women don't watch a naked man dance and per se get "horny" there really is a profound difference. Women also tend to be more attracted to the male dancer based on his face then they will be on his male organ.

Now as for female strip clubs, men who go tend to go by themselves unless they are with a stag party. The clubs are usually darker and it's more of a secret, darker type atmosphere. You will not find a dance floor for the patrons in a female strip club. Men are very visual and do get "horny" watching female dancers. It's a much more quiet and secretive thing for a man. Men tend go to strip clubs on a regular basis more so then women. Men tend to be more turned on by a female dancers female organs and body then face.

There is a little more to it, but there is a totally different psychology between the two.

Sheilanagig - NP, just havin fun.

Stephistan - aren't you a bit young to have any club experience? Not all men's clubs are dark. There are some that even are well attended by women.

I would suspect the darker, seedier ones are dark not so the men aren't seen, but so that they don't have to see the other men. Talk about a turn-off!

I'd say because when male stripclub customers become racous there is more danger to the performers than when female stripclub members become raucous. That's why the security keep such a close eye on male customers.

I am happy to say we have 4 topnotch stripclubs in my home town. I know some people have a bee in their bonnet about them being sexist but I mean really - no one is bemoaning women a right to go see naked men, so why vice versa? Besides, the girls at stripclubs (and I have some friends who do it for a living) make a s***load of cash, tons more than I do working 40 hours a week, so I say good luck to them! :)

In my younger day, I was a bar-maid at a female strip club. I was also assistant manager of one while I was going to school. I'm 35 years old.. while not old, still not too young to know a little bit about it.. ;)

The few times I've been in a strip club, the ones with female dancers, I've seen some bored women, some of them not putting much effort into it, because they don't really have to...and alcohol is often banned in them. This is definitely because a drunk, horny man spending the kids' college fund on a 19 year old that he'll never sleep with, is not reliable to stay in control.

I think Americans are probably a great deal more repressed and unhealthy in their view of nudity and sex than Canadians or anyone else in the western world. This is why they tend to get really weird and unreliable when they see it.

Hell, down here, people almost hyperventilate at the sight of a boobie in a shopping mall. One that is being used to feed an infant, no less. I have a feeling that nobody competes against that for weirdness value.

Shielanagig - did you have a bad experience with a man in the past that so soured you on our sex? Nearly every post I see from you is full of anti-male sentiment. If so, it's odd you'd choose to name yourself after a goddess of fertility (love the statuettes by the way, usually posed with their naughty bits spread open) - as fertility implies lots of sex with *gasp* men.

men go to strip clubs to get horny
women to go strip clubs to get wild

men are kept in line by the bouncers, they are assumed to be a danger to the women. women are assumed to be having a good time and that they are generally no threat to the men.

ive always wondered if straight men work as strippers or if they are gay for the most part.
i went to the "thunder down under" show in vegas last year and the men were SOOOO gay. not that the women in the crowd noticed, it was as loud as a rock concert in there from the women screaming.

Oh, I've had plenty of bad experiences with men, things that frustrate, confuse, exasperate, horrify. That's not really it, though. I just hate nothing more than seeing an openly sexist comment stated. Don't forget, I've had plenty of good experiences with men too.

I think you may have let the gals off a bit lightly though, I think there is just a drop of sexual tension in the air when women are at a stripclub...

I think the law in America is either you can have full nude OR serve alcohol. Ironicly, if you don't serve alcohol, you only need to be 18 to get in instead of 21.

I don't know what it's like in Britain.

Yeah, strip clubs with female dancers have a lot more regulations set about touching and things like that. Thats why the ones with male dancers are so crazy - they're not really all that worried about being violated, so the women there can pretty much do whatever they want...
