and I quote from the salon article, "Forty-four percent of Americans believe that most or some of the hijackers were Iraqi" and that leaves "only 17 percent knew the correct answer: that none of the hijackers were Iraqi." Yep. Not even one in five people understands who attacked the world trade center. No wonder public support of the war is at about seventy percent. Other fun facts from a nice MSNBC article. "Nearly a quarter — 24 percent — of respondents said they expected the war to last between two weeks and a month. Three percent said it would be over in less than a week, while 13 percent said they expected it to last more than six months.". There are actually people who thought this war would be over in less than a week. I mean we are good, but lets get serious people, no one -- not even Bush in his wildest dreams, actually thinks that would happen.

And no, don't fly off at a tangent and start verbally attacking me, I simply pointed this out to show how (mostly because of the media) incredibly misinformed people are in America. It's unbelievable - The last democracy on earth where most people take everything thier President says as undeniable fact.

The question about how long the war will last is somewhat mis-leading. Some people who answered a week may be talking about when the Iraqi Military would surrender or collapse, which was very quickly, I don't think they counted the Occupation and Insurgency

I believe that every single Hijacker was a Saudi Arabian, or the lion's share were Saudis.

They surely have a collective IQ of 180+ which makes them extremely clever. There's probably a poll or article out there somewhere, confirming that Americans are actually God himself, manifested as human beings.

They will mention that the hijackers were mostly Saudi, and then jump to a story about Iraqi Involvement in 9/11. It's amazing enough that Americans could believe a story for War even with the rubbish short stories that the author Colin Powell reads to the UN Security Council (the worst one being "Iraq and the radioactive material from the continent below europe"). But they don't actually have the right facts at all!

You gotta remember polling anything can be different.

And I heard that poll too, but it was people late 20 and under across the world don't know who fought in world war 2, I don't believe the poll.

And like this one I bet I could conduct a poll to counter that poll, I bet there IS a poll out there to counter it.

polls are helpful, yet sadly you can always find something countering it. So unles sit approval ratings I do not take them seriously.

Oh by the way your country is a MAJOR part in what we are doing. So please do not blame us for ebing targets for a Terrorist attack, and you should take it up with your PM and voice your concerns and try to make sure Blairs party outest him. I do respect Blair, he will admit to mistakes.

Don't get me wrong I hate war, I think it's BS that there was a intellegence error, but what can you do. Saddam is gone, the counrty is on it's way to democracy (I hope so atleast...)

Actually, there is scant evidence that proves the "alleged" hijackers were involved in the attacks: for one thing, most of the names do not appear on the passenger list and some have been found alive!
