This is an interesting bit of information that you don't hear
much about in the media ---

1) Enron's chairman did meet with the president and the vice president in the Oval Office.

2) Enron gave $420,000 to the president's party over three years.

3) It donated $100,000 to the president's inauguration festivities.

4) The Enron chairman stayed at the White House 11 times.

5) The corporation had access to the administration at its highest levels and even enlisted the Commerce and State Departments to grease deals for it.

6) The taxpayer-supported Export-Import Bank subsidized Enron for more than $600 million in just one transaction. Scandalous!!

7) BUT...the president under whom all this happened WASN'T George W. Bush.

Care to take a guess at who it was?? Well, I will tell you it was President Bill Clinton!

Enron is the largest financial supporter of the Bush Administration.
This is common knowledge.
That company has donated more money to the Bush, than any corporation has to any president...ever.

Well, there is a lot of truth to what he is saying. Remember, Clinton was president for eight years so it is unfathomable to think that he didn't receive money from Enron. Now, this is not to say that Enron supported Clinton. (although that hardly matters)

Stay with me on this one. Enron is a corporation, and even though it is clearly in the business of politics, no company wishes to have a partison label. Therefor, Enron does give money to Democrats -- it is a tax write-off, and it keeps them from appearing too powerful. For instance, it is a well known fact that when Bush was asked about Enron he said the company donated to his opponet Ann Richards. The statement is true, but it fails to factor in that Enron's donations to Mrs. Richards was miniscual compared to it's contributions to Bush.

I'm a Democrat...well, I don't approve of the 2 party system really, but my allegiance lies with the Dems, since they are closer to approximating what I believe in. That being said, everyone is the in the same party when the lights go out. We all...ahem...stand for the same things.

Yet another email. Although, I have recieved this one twice, and they were different. All the stats as in the money and everything was the same, it was just ordered differently.
