Average CEO Income Up 22 Percent
The average total income for CEOs at the country's top 500 companies increased by 22 percent in 2003 -- double the increase of the previous year. CEOs at four companies -- Oracle, Apple, Yahoo and Colgate -- received 1000 percent increases in income. Meanwhile new data from the Internal Revenue Service shows that the average U.S .income has decreased for two years in a row for the first time since World War II.

Yeah like a president ever signs the paychecks for those companies, or calls companies telling the bosses to lower the wages for their workers. I have a big roll of aluminum foil if you want it!

Bush said that outsourcing was good and Bush encorages class warfare against the american workers--of course the only people who will prosper from Bushs trickle down corporate welfare system is people who dont do anything at all but hurt the overall economy

Bush said that outsourcing was good and Bush encorages class warfare against the american workers--of course the only people who will prosper from Bushs trickle down corporate welfare system is people who dont do anything at all but hurt the overall economy

Clinton encouraged outsourcing as well with a little bill called NAFTA. This increase US outsourcing far before Bush ever went into the white house. But lets look at outsourcing shall we. Anyone who wants to pay union workers in the form of a $90 t-shirt raise their hands? Having lower end products made in other countries makes economic sense. And since the majority of these companies higher end managment and HQ remain in the US the US still profits on GNP.
Even beyond this I would not say outsourcing is a bad thing. The market adapts to outsourcing. For instance during the early NAFTA years 2.3 million jobs went into Mexico in the form of industry jobs and textile work. The net benefit to US was somewhere around one million new jobs in the first few quarters. A good example of jobs being created by outsourcing is importing steel refined in other countries. This in turn booms the auto manufacturing centers, aerospace and other sectors. Jobs aren't created in a vacuum you need to enter the world stage with good deals for trade partners.
Consider Kerry on outsourcing and his "respected in the world argument". I find this overly dumb because by cutting all avenues to outsourcing he will violate WTO anti-tariff/non-tariff laws and piss off a whole lot of other countries. Kind of like what Bush did with his tariffs on steel. He put tariffs on steel and there was a net loss in jobs on the steel using industries. So Kerry will lead to less job growth in the long run. If you bastardize business and try to use protectionism you only lose more and more jobs.

Then again if you believe Clinton was just another republican in crazed economic monkey clothes you would probly be right. Bring some more "democrats" to the white house like him.

You must be.

If you werent you'd know how often Red posts these kinds of things, each one sounding even more far fetched than the other.

As a liberal, I know that many of them are in fact, true...

BUT...Red is trying to convince others of them too.

Problem is.....he's "cried wolf " so often..that not many people are willing to listen to what he has to say anymore.

Naw. I'll never get "over it" and i'll also never get "used to it". Its a shame that presidents take the liberty to abuse their position to that degree. A president's job is to lead the country properlyand not to make his corporate buddies richer by exploiting the people or federal finances.

I'm no neocon, but I hate Michael Moore. His films (esp Bowling ) are so freaking untrue, esp when he said in a cartoon format that the NRA and the KKK were formed to protect whites from the blacks. He is such a fat retard, I don't know how anyone can honestly believe him with such a moronic way of spinning the "facts". Like how he time edited the Heston interview, or put together two different speeches and made them one. Such a big man, I hope he chokes on his next greasy burger, or his arteries clog and he suffers a massive heart attack while yelling "Shame on you, shame on you!"

I would have to say your data is flawed, particularly considering the selective nature of it. You should try being more thorough.

Try this one:

http://www.faireconomy.org/research/CEO_Pay_charts.html

Though in the 90s CEO pay increased dramatically, as of 2002 it is off 50% from its high point in 2000, meanwhile worker pay has steadily increased, at a rate greater than inflation, and corporate profits have been basically flat since 97.

According to this data it seems CEOs and corporations fared much better during the prior admin, while workers pay has not been negatively impacted at all.
