If you could vote for anyone who would you vote for? (American Elections)

I am an American who looks for the best leadership in each election.

I've been an Anarchist, a Member of the Young Socialists Workers Party, and most recently a libertarian.

This year I'm thinking of just writing someone's name in the presidentail candidate slot. But I can't think of anyone worthy. I'd like to write in the Dali Lama but alas one must be an American citizen. And if I don't get a paper ballot so I can write someone's name in the slot for president I will protest until I get one.

Who would you write in?

Steph..help me out here...

Actually arnold has been fighting to change the rules about being american born so people from foreign lands can run like himself and if these laws are struck down I think he would or at least might. I might vote for him actually it depends on my other choices.

Yeah I'm a bit wishy washy on my political party of choice right now I'd say republican/libertarian

You could vote for badnarik he is on the Lp ticket. Socialist party? I can see how anarchism could lead to that but libertarianism? Not my brand anyway. Same with my brand of anarchism

well it's hard to say...
I am voting Badnarik
heh...you said anyone, right?
I'd probably make it one of our founding fathers
Patrick Henry wanted liberty or death, that's pretty cool
or Jefferson or one of those cool dudes.

but Badnarik is a computer programmer who teaches the constitution for fun

sounds like a pretty ideal candidate to me

If I could vote for anyone...

The sad thing is, if I was 18, I still couldn't vote for "anyone" because in my view, Bush is SO bad that I would have to vote for the one person that will get many votes. I generally say screw "a vote for Nader is a vote for Bush" mentality, but this time I'm making an exception.

Anyway, I'd probably write in "Dennis Kucinich" because frankly I can't think of anyone else I'd like better who's old enough. Now, if 33 was within the age limit, my crazy anarchist best friend's ultraliberal dad might be a nice choice...

I'm not comfortable with that idea (assuming that it's true; I haven't kept up with the news, lately). That would open us up to the possibility of a foreign agent being planted to run for President. I don't want to imagine the potential conflicts-of-interest involved there.

I believe Joe Biden would of been/be an excellent President.

As the Ranking Member of the Foreign Relations Committee, Biden is the Democratic party's chief spokesman on national security and foreign policy issues.

One of the most respected voices on national security and civil liberties, Senator Joseph Biden, has earned national and international recognition as a policy innovator, effective legislator and party spokesman on a wide range of key issues. He is the top Democrat on both the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, and is a central player on some of the most important issues facing America, from crime prevention and constitutional law to international relations and arms control.

Im serious about this, and you'll think im stupid, but Micheal Jordan would be an excellent presedent.

He would get the votes of all sports fans, african americans, and everyone who doesn't want to vote for Bush or Kerry. He knows what real people want and need, unlikeBush with his trustfunds and Kerry with his like 80 purple hearts.
