I have to say I prefer swords and knife type items. Something close and personal. I feel it would cut down on violence if you actually had to look into the eyes of the person against you.
I still don't like that people can carry guns, usually concealed, but I cannot walk around with a sword and knives can't be longer than a certain length. I find that to be a violation of my 2nd Amendment rights (please note the amendment does not specify guns as the weapon you can *bear*).

I don't like swords but I have several surival and recon knives for camping and hiking. And I like guns alot more than all of the swords and knives put together.

Indeed, No arms are prohibited by the second ammendment. I prefer to use bladed weapons. Sadly you must move with the times and carry a gun.

How would you use them against an oponnent with a pair of swords *as defined above*? Kurkis are very good knives similar to the falchata. No-Dachis? Japanese?

Of course a kukhri is no match for your combination. I still think they are cool though.

No-Dachis are Japanese two handed swords which are over five feet in length. Hard to use, as the only attack that you can do is a downward slash. And this is ignoring its size and weight.
It just looks cool though

The Kitana is another nice sword. Easier to use, and more versatile than the No Dachi.

However, another nice weapon is a two bladed sword.

I'll go with a Katana :

But since you ask about weapons in general : A good 9mm works for me.

Swords were at one point termed a gentlemans weapon. With the advent of gunpowder, the use of a sword became even more of a fashion than for any real need.

I like fencing (epee or sabre)
I like SCA combat (using simulated swords in medieval armor)
I like kendo (japanese martial art using armor and the shanai)

Oh, Im not sure about your locality, but where I live in the states, you can carry a sword down the street. As long as it isnt hidden/concealed. And if you get a concealed carry permit, you can even do that.

I would like to get my own blast furnace so that I could make my own swords and other various weapons. I would make something that looks like a tonfa, but with blades to have in my left hand, and something like a katana or maybe a Wakizashi in my right hand. And then of course there’s the FADBA’GS A’12 DB BS which is the basic FADBA’GS A’12 model with duel bayonets and a bladed stock. That way even when the duel drums are emptied I can still stab and chop my way to success.

Other than the fact that you are rabidly liberal (and I only state that because of your various posts like "conservitives suck" and "they always lie about everything") and dont want it to be legal, why not? As previously mentioned the second amendment does not say we have the right to bear guns, but arms.. which is defined as weapons.

Swords are good, i've made my own and i've developed variations of popular swords, you know the chinese broadsword? mix that with a european broadsword and give it a more pronounced curve and you've got the Hwtio Khedr, "White Sword"...that'll cut though about anything, and it's weight can give the user the downward strenth to shatter most blades. Yeah, it's nice.

I like some swords only because they are beautiful, but I also like the design of sabers, scimitars, because of their curved shape... Indeed, I like some weapons because they are artworks...
Otherwise, generally speaking, I don't like weapons...

As far as 2nd Amendment rights, the right was only given to bear arms as part of the state militia. That is why you can't walk around with a concealed weapon and not expect to get in trouble if you get caught. Believe, I was just on trial on a concealed weapon charge. (a knife)
