...your decrepit mother, your lover, and your child are all in the fire. You only have time to save one of them. Who do you save?

Just interesting to see the responses. Obviously, nobody wants to see the other two die. It simply shows how you prioritize.

That's pretty much my order as well. While the mother is decrepit, and hence has less chance of escaping on her own than the lover, chances are she's had a longer life. The kid hasn't even started his yet, so... yeah. Child, lover, mother. Not an easy choice by any means. o_o;

Child. My child has 50% of my genetic material, my lover has none, and although my mother also has 50% of my genetic material the term 'decrepit' implies that she is no longer fertile.

Tough, but them is the biologically programmed breaks.

I think, regardless of the answer, it would be child, lover, mother, for the same reasons given previously.
However, if the lover was the child's mother, then the kid would definitely be first. I don't think his mom would appreciate being rescued over her kid

Is it a good lover? Is the child terminally ill? Do I love my mother?

I would have to say my lover under most circumstances. Followed by my decrepit mother. I would not normally be inclined to do anything about the child, except perhaps reach for the marshmallows.

you save your child because you are responsible for your child. your lover and mother are on their own.

Really, you should save your mother. After all, you can easily replace the child or lover.

That's a good question, but I don't know. It was just part of a long series of questions that decide your class (think D&D) in the game. They didn't really give much specifics about the lover.

I used the logic my mother isn't decript and I don't have any child so I pick lover. ;)

Child? My kids will know how to get out of a fire, or be fireproof. Decrepit Old Mother? My mom wanted to be creamated anyway, and she would think I was nuts for saving her. Lover? I wouldn't choose to date someone who couldnn't have the ability to get out of a fire? I'd choose Kid.

Lover. We can always make another kid. And I'm not too into my parents :p

Or you can take the Family Guy route:
