Fair and Balanced?

The people on Fox (it's being replayed for the West Coast) have a copy of the Kerry speech and they're scrutinizing it and criticizing the points he is going to make before he even has an oppurtunity to make his speech. If that's fair and balanced then I'm a transvestite that earns money whoring myself out to martians.

Well, just so you know that Fox isn't alone in this, ABC decided it would be good for the American audiences to look in on the feed from Arabic television in the middle of the speech--twice. No other languages were presented--just Arabic. Draw your own conclusions.

Well...at least CNN got it right. Hooah!
Freedom of press can be a bitch.
" Take me to your leader ? "
;)
That aside, its always going to be a case of bias in the media some-where. That little white haired so and so on that ABC program late at night is so pro-labour party it makes me grind my teeth ...
* Idly wonder what next Aussie politician will reveal their smoking pot when they are younger ...

maybe it's a plot, so kerry leaks the speech and does another speech, then the media will be speechless!

Yeah, those darn news people. Who do they think they are? Scrutinizing a politicians speech like that! It should be illegal to do such a thing!
Those nasty freedoms we have sure do get in the way sometimes don't they? I guess in the case of Kerry it would be better to not have the press looking too closely at him. ;)
Hey Biff? They're complaining about a newsgroup doing this, then calling themselves "fair and balanced"
Nobody said it should be illegal, ya goof.

I doubt thats true. I bet the news people will do the same thing to Bush. How could they not? Newspeople are like that. Besides, the news people are independent. They did not HAVE to cover the convention at all if they did not want to. Thank god they limited the coverage to only one hour a night, not that I would have watched anyway, I don't watch network TV because it is so damn boring. Thank god for DirecTV and Tivo. ;)

You honestly believe that the news people will NOT do the same to Bush? have you ever watched the network news? They are so pro-Kerry it is not even funny. Except for Fox, who regularly have a Dem and a Rep go head to head against each other. The other networks just portray one side. I will eat my shoes if the same treatment is not given to Bush. They have vilified the man on the news since 2000 so I am confident that my shoes will remain on my feet where they belong. ;)
