For the record, this is now the second time that court officials have put this woman's private, personal information on their website.

Are they trying to force her to settle the case?

Is Kobe Bryant's money and celebrity a factor?

Or are they so bloody incompetant they ought to be asking, "Do you want to supersize that?"

I can't believe nobody has replied seriously to this thread.

The court has violated the plaintiff's guaranteed legal right to privacy, not once, but twice. Does anyone else find that "Oh, but it was an accident!" doesn't even come close to a legitimate excuse?

The events here set off serious alarm bells in my mind. The woman's identity was "accidentally" published on a website. The woman's identity was "accidentally" emailed to seven media outlets. Sure, it's possible that this matter has just been handled by people who are severely incompetent, but it's also possible that money and influence are at work.

The sad part is, the reasons for the indiscretion are somewhat moot, since whether the leaks were caused by incompetence or by corruption, the end result is the same: the plaintiff's legal rights have been violated by the very courts who are sworn to protect them. It's frightening, and it's sickening...as is the lack of outrage from the public.

I believe that it is just outright incompetence, as you suggest. Those responsible should actually be working at Burger King.

Of course Bryant's celebrity is a factor. How could it not be? Remember O.J.
