Sure ain't Mona Lisa :D

But I think that Ava Gardner stands a good chance. After my granny from mom's side, that is. :) Raven black hair, pale blue eyes, and the whittest skin possible. She made heads turn in her time.

Paulette Goddard or Marylin Monroe. To be truthful, these are the only that I remember what they look like off the top of my head.

Mary Magdalene was meant to have had a great rack.

That said, Natalie Wood was a fox

I suppose i'm too young for this because to be honest, marilyn monroe's the only one i can picture, although i dont think she's that great looking.

Audrey Hepburn was one sexy woman, if you want my opinion.

Or how about Frances Farmer? This pic is actually a mugshot taken of her in the 40's. Tragic story, but one sexy, intelligent woman.

Audrey Hepburn was a good choice. I'd pick Sophia Loren myself, but she may still be alive.

Urgh.

She was malnourished as a child due to the occupation of Belgium by the Germans, and that resulted in her unnaturally thin frame. Then she becomes a film star and is sold as an ideal beauty. I just find that disturbing - the way the anorexic* body is held up as an example.

*She wasn't anorexic, but she had the body of one.

There was something about Audrey Hepburn that was beautiful, though. She held her beauty until the day she died. She also had class. I guess when I saw her in her 80's, I look at her and don't think, "there is a woman who once was beautiful". I think rather that she is beautiful still.

She's thin, but some people are. I have a cousin who is mistaken for anorexic all of the time. It's not her fault. Hell, when she was pregnant, it was like looking at an anaconda who had swallowed a basketball. Some people are just naturally that thin. Most of them don't want to be.

Here's another sexy woman no longer alive...

Marlene Dietrich.

I suppose you could easily say that personality and talent make a woman sexy. I can go for Janis Joplin being sexy. Of course, although she wasn't particularly talented, I still think Bettie Page was sexy, just through presence. She had a talent for posing in a really provocative way, without any need for nudity or descending to cheapness.

Nah. Not sexy, but that blood-splattered dress was certainly a daring fashion statement.

Strangely, it's the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button that is most disturbing there ...

I'll just point out that this thread was originally started as a way of mocking the "sexiest woman alive" thread - thus the asterisks in the title. It just seemed like a very strange specification in that other thread title. Strange to see that there have actually been responses here...

Strangely, it's the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button that is most disturbing there ...

Quote from the page you get if you press that button:

"I am a 24 year old women . I have always felt that I will die young in a sexual incounter. And if that's true , my death would be a beautiful erotic adventure for the person or persons I was with ."

Sometimes it better not to take these risks. I should just be glad that Google doesn't have an "I'm feelinh unlucky" button.

That button would just safely save files, close programs and shut down the computer, but only after suggesting that you gently lay your head on some soft pillows and take a nap. Just remember, House always wins and that button never works (no matter how high Google's IPO is). It's there to be funny.

The risk I was referring to was actually starting a search with the keywords "sexy dead women" rather than an imagined random factor connected to the 'I'm feeling lucky' button.

Is Rita Hayworth still with us?

Even if she was when they buried her in 1987, I think we can assume that she is no longer by now.

On the other hand it appears that Sophia Loren is still with us, for whatever that is worth.

Here is the plan:

We decide who the sexiest woman no longer alive is, and then we go to a head-to-head with whomever is announced to be the sexiest woman alive in the other thread, put it to a poll and if our candidate wins we will have unassailably socio-scientifically proved that dead women are sexier than living women.

Fantastic!

Let's face it. Helen launched 1,000 *GREEK* ships. And what were the Ancient Greeks attracted to? Young boys. Helen was probably the most nubile young boy they'd ever seen and Paris wanted it badly.
