Good guys seldom make good presidents. Carter is a very honorable man, but he was a TERRIBLE president. 21% car loans during his time in office, inflation at record highs. Ineffective in dealing with Iran and the hostage crisis. The military was on the verge of collapse, but he was a good guy. Served only one term, tried to save his job with failed attempt to rescue Iranian held hostages.
Clinton? A good guy? Cheated on his wife, lied under oath in order to deny someone due process. Deployed the military more than any other president other than FDR yet vetoed EVERY payraise for them except in 2000 in an attempt to win over military votes for Gore. Ineffective in responding to terrorist attacks by treating them as criminal acts and not acts of war. History will show that he was more concerned with his private life than the public good.

The question was whether he was a good guy, not a good president. Carter is a very good guy. Clinton is a good guy and was a good president. That stuff about the military was nonsense and you know it. You can't say Kosovo and WWI (one deployment each) are equal.
