A lot of people have complained about a perceived lack of the freedom of speech on this site over the year and a half it's been live. All I have to say is:

Amen to that!

The First Amendment was created so that people could question and criticize their government...not go around and be rude assholes to everyone.

[EDIT: The Freedom of Speech part, I mean.]

This is true, but we should be able to petition the Max if we feel we cannot express ourselves for the censorship; furthermore, we can create a new forum. But Good Luck getting people to join.

Someone explain to me what your local United States laws have to do with a website hosted in the UK and owned by an Australian.

This is a private site, thus, the first Amendment does not apply. What the first Amendment does for this site is mean that the US government cannot do anything.

And, yeah, it's not owned or operated in the US, so you'd have to look at the rights for Australia and the UK.

I wonder if anyone did bother to read the comic behind that link. That's exactly what that empsasizes: this is a private service, and the 1st Amendment doesn't necessarily apply.

Exactly. Freedom doesn't mean a thing when it comes to property.
