I don't insult you, yet you insult my beliefs. I try and cope, but the stupidity has gotten way too far.

And if you think that this applies to everyone, then I feel sorry for NS General and happy that I live in a country where, even though it's full of Christians and conservatives, I am not insulted or indirectly mocked for believing in a God.
If saying god doesn't exist is insulting you, then saying god does exist is insulting anyone who believes there is no god.

Dude, you need some thicker skin. I've been told more times than I can count that I am going to hell, and that Jesus will have me bending over for him in total submission one day. And as if that's not enough, there are the kindly people who push their God fantasy on me directly or indirectly through legislation of education, door to door conversion squads, and through simply burning people like me at the stake for centuries. All of which tells me people are stupid, so when people make general statements (like "atheists are stupid" or "God is a fantasy") it doesn't bother me, just fill me with a sudden urge to drop ten or twelve babies out the window onto traffic below. Which I immediately do.

if you feel that having your beliefs questioned is an insult then you shouldn't be on this forum. if your beliefs cannot stand up to criticism then you need new beliefs.

people don't need to be rude about it, but everyone gets to have opinions and post them. i feel horrified and saddened when people claim there is a God, and their beliefs are an insult to what i believe is most important in life, but i don't have the arrogance to take it as a personal insult. they aren't insulting ME, they're holding beliefs different than mine. i may be offended or disgusted by those beliefs, but i'm not so full of myself that i think they are holding those beliefs just to piss me off.

you really need to chill and get some perspective. i don't base my beliefs on your opinion in any way, nor is your opinion a factor at all in what i choose to believe, so if you feel insulted then that's your own fault and you don't have the right to blame me for your own problems.
