What would you do with YOUR clone(s)?

I'm curious.

Well I would mass clone myself, and knowing how "brave" I am, I would send them to invade a country. Eventually since there is a unlimited supply of me's, I would eventually take over the world, then once I'm in charge, I would kill off all the fake me's so there's only me left to rule the world.

Think the final battle in Matrix 3....except all those Smiths would be killing people and marching toward the White House

I'd kill them... I don't want them to steal my identity...

I thought the point of clones was 100%-compatibility organ-harvesting. *shrugs*

wow, people really don't understand what a clone is. a clone would be the same as if you had an indentical twin; you would not be the same person, you would likely have very different personalities, and you would not be totally identical in appearance. they could not steal your identity, and you would have no more right to control them than you have to control any sibling of yours (or anybody else, for that matter).

identical DNA does NOT make for identical people.

Problem 1) Why would I want to clone an entire me? Fact is, I wouldn't. Maybe clone organs, but once the brain's lost it's over, and an entire me is just something I wouldn't want running around.
Problem 2) Clones only last to about the same point in time as the donor of the clone's DNA, at least under current technologies.

Seems like no ethically sound point to cloning anyone.

And if YOU got y'self cloned, and lead an army of 'em 20 years later (or whatever), they're probably vulnerable to the exact same stuff to which you're vulnerable (at least, as defined at the genetic level). So whatever hoses you hoses the lot of them too. Makes for easy counter and cleanup.

We'd be an unstoppable crime fighting force! "I'll" always be there to save those in trouble!

Ok, I didn't mean the technically correct version of "clone." I meant, in what should have been obviously colloquial, the insta-version of clones often found in odd sci-fi/fantasy or old horror films, as a hypothetical "what if there were suddenly 2 of you."

my clone would be another person and thus i couldnt DO anything with them
they would go off and live the life they have
odd to start out at age 47 but i guess no one gets a choice of how they start off in life.

I wouldn't have clones.
I'd have organs growing in tanks, but I wouldn't have full clones. How can you expect to control other people?

Id send them to my job so I didnt have to, keep one around that I could get into fights with, have em clean my house, cut the grass, cook, etc. Send them out on dates, and if they get anywhere with that id take over.

I'm sorry Bottle, but your so-called "science" pales in the face of overwhelming evidence from movies and from cartoons. Clones either obey you, or are evil. Its as simple as that.
