For those who use Google, please be advised to stay clear of it for the moment. I just heard on the news that they have a serious virus problem - and it could slip through your HTTP port.

Google aren't commenting but they are trying to clear it up. Apparently the virus has been spread to Yahoo and google mail via E-mail attachment. Please beware of that also.

It's a mydoom variant. There is also another bagle variant.

It comes in many forms, the one that is effective on the ignorant is a message from a spoofed technical support that reports one of your computers is sending spam and there is an attached zip file. You open the zip and double-click the file and boom, you start emailing to the world.

The anti-virus people seem to have fixes out so update your checkers......
