JINGLE: Gofer a mouthful, gofer the fun!
KID: Cool! Gofer Cakes!
JINGLE: Gofer Cakes are for everyone!
Just one snack has what it takes,
And it's Gofer, Gofer, Gofer Cakes!
Open wide, stuff your face, there's always room for more Gofer
Cakes!
Empty a box and then reload,
Eat those Gofer Cakes till you explode!
DEEP VOICE: Exercised lately?
JINGLE (in the background): Till you explode!

Speaking of that...
I think the greatest recent commercial was...
The Pepto Bismal one... when they do the funny dance...

It was a commercial for a Danish newspaper. A bunch of guys were sitting in a mens only sauna. Sweating while beeing naked. There was a peep hole to the womens only sauna. One guy looks through. And he sees very...yummie clotheless women. An attendent walks in to the mens sauna. And the poor guy has no towl to cover his flagpole. So he had to use said paper.

The funniest commercial is the one PGA (I think) made a few years ago. Two guys are golfing and one of them hits it right behind a tree with a split trunk.
Guy #2: I don't think you can make it through there.
Guy#1: Sure I can.
He sets up and hits the ball, it bounces of the tree, then off the ball cleaner, and right into the other man's crotch, he hits the ground with a scream.
Guy #1: You're right, I couldn't make it through there.
The John West commercials. Especially the Bear Fight one.
Or Terry Tate: Human Resources Linebacker.

lol
The gofer commercial! That's a great one.

I don't know, but I firmly believe in the Demolition Man future where commercials are looked at as an art form, and collected, and today some of the 'classics' are still being shown.

Lots of these commercials seem to be american, but you just can't beat bizarre british humour. Anyone here familiar with the extremely odd tango adverts of the past year? You know, the ones where people are doing really strange things to get their tango? (it's a fizzy drink by the way)
My favourite is probably the most recent one for apple tango, where the man has velcroed himself to the ceiling. Every time a train goes past outside, he is released slightly from the velcro. Then a pigeon lands on him and he falls from the ceiling into a bath of apple tango.
The commentator then maniacly shouts "Yes!!! That's the hit of the whole fruit!!! Fat pigeon, APPLE!!! You know when you've been tangoed"
Has to be seen to be understood really, but it's definately one of the best ever.

What about the now cultural Dutch beer advert? Grolsch, I think it's called.
"SCTOP! This [insert topic here] is not ready yet. You need to take your time, [insert relevant advice here]. In Holland, we take time to brew Grolsch..."
The first one broadcast was these men robbing a bank before it was finished being built.

I'm submitting two. One was for a soft-drink. I think it was Sprite, but they did this fake commercial for a fake product called "Juky"
Obnoxious jingle with beautiful people having fun in background: "Juky! Juky! It's a party in a can! Juky! Juky! It'll make you a MANLY MAN!"
Cut to two losers watching the commercial. One opens his can, expecting to join the dancing people..."Dude, mine's busted."
*****
Then there was another one where it was a fake commercial for a movie called "Blowed Up." It seems to involve an Asian guy just blowing stuff up, and it looks like the stupidest movie ever. The voice-over advertising the movie is really funny, it goes something like, "This Summer, a theater near you is going to be...BLOWED UP....with non-stop action, you know THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BLOW!"
Then it shows whatever stock trading company the real ad is for quickly selling stock in the movie studio.
I still assert that the dancing Pepto Bismal commercial was the funniest.

I still assert that the dancing Pepto Bismal commercial was the funniest.
I was a camp counselor at a summer camp last month, and the kids sang that song and did the dance NON-STOP. So I used to like that one, but now I have a violent twitchy attack.

Fair enough but how about that scifi commercial...
You know the one... Where two guys are stopped by this burly bouncer who's standing in front of an entrance to some club. And the bouncer says, "Gentleman must be accompanied by lady."
So then one guy molds himself into the shape of a woman... you gotta see it.... to know what I'm talking about...

The pepto bismal commercial is rather delightful, but one of my all-time favorite commercials is for GEICO insurance.
A squirrel darts across a road, and stops in the middle to the sight of a car barrelling towards it. The car swerves to avoid the squirrel and crashes off scene. To which end another squirrel comes out and meets the first and gives him a hand jive style greeting for making the car crash.
(All evidence points to me being old, for I havent a clue what those high-five style greetings are called, but they look like the hand-jive.)
