The Jolt Commandments

1. Thou shalt not play Word Games

2. Thou shalt not know why thou shalt not play word games.

3. Thou shalt not spam, for spam is unclean, and clogs the servers.
4. Thou shalt continue to not-spam even when the servers are big enough, because the Mods doth say so, and the mods doth rule over thy pitiful lives.

5. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's post count.

6. Thou shalt not create word games to increaseth thine own post count, for the wages of word game creation is banning or at least a sternly worded telegram.

7. Posting "Postcount+1" is the worst sin, and a very, very stern telegram shall be sent to thee.

8. Thou shall not enjoy thyself unless thou beest a pedantic bugger with an ideological axe to grindeth

9. Thou shalt not use profane language like bugger unless substituting vowels with asterixes

Thou shalt only post political or religious flames. Anything else is forbidden, because it is of Satan!

Thou shalt not point out the hypocricy of the Mods in banning flames but flaming anyway. The mods do not like it and shall have hissy fit on thee!

Chapter 1:

1For, on the first day, the mods did sayeth unto the posters, "Look, for we have given thee choices. Thou mayest post thine garbage of word games and thy vanity of taverns and social clubs on the spam forum of perdition." Lo, there was much rejoicing. 2The mods then said unto the posters, "By our own mighty hand hath we created the work of the hallowed General forum, and by that same hand shall we strike down those who sin against us." 3There came into the land at this time a lone wanderer with much on his mind. He spake to the mods, "I have much to say and, verily, I give unto thee thanks for thy great work and thy Thankless Job for which thou shalt have no thanks for. But I have a question." 4The mods were silent, awaiting this question. 5The wanderer, not knowing the risk to his posting soul, said unto them, "I have seen in foreign boards many opinions and many arguments and great and varied were the hatreds called down upon all." 6"I have learned much, and of that which I have learned, the most important seems to be the principle of fun." 7"Many hath opinions and many number those opinions that those that have opinions hath had. Those opinions have begun to take on similar likeness so that all who hath opinions hath resorted to the calling of names and the 'I'm righteous, thou art wrong/Nay, I'M righteous, THOU are wrong" way. This is surely against the great plan." 8The posters trembled in fear at the wanderer's words, for surely to speak to the mods so invited The Sternly Worded Telegram of Doom. They are no more than the basest of flaming." 10The posters moaned, for they knew unto where this was headed. 11For he just kneweth not when to quit, the wanderer spoke again until the mods. 12"How do these angry tirades and pointless slanders inconvenience the celestial progress of the All-Mighty and Powerful Server more than those games which are known by their words? Surely both are just as pointless, although one offers a momentary grasp of happiness and conviviality."

Chapter 2:
1The mods were silent to the posters, conferring on the IRC Channel of Wisdom. The posters grew still and looked expectantly heavenwards, knowing good street theater when they saw it. The wanderer checked his watch. 2Lo then, the heavens opened and poured radiant fires upon the wanderer, blasting him unto the very spot he hath stood upon. 3When the dust hath settled, the posters returned their gaze skywards, waiting for the second act. 4The mods spake unto them, "Behold the brown smudge mark that was the infidel we have now cast out into the place that infidels go when we do smite them but that we can not refer to lest we be forced to smite ourselves which presents a level of ironical complexity that we are uncomfortable with." 5"Fear the brown smudge mark and let it be a lesson unto thee: Don't piss off the mods. For surely, if thou doest this thing, thy torment will be unceasing and thy misery greater than Martha Stewart's." 6"We have said unto thee, time and time again, that the General forum is for serious debate and that word games are the very spawn of electronic hell itself." 7"We have also given to the the knowledge that an acceptable form of "serious debate" is:
